Evening dress, by Callot Soeurs, 1907-08, Hillwood Estate. This high waisted dress is constructed in a sheer turquoise moiré through which with an intense orange-gold silk foundation is visible. A decorative free-hanging bolero is heavily embroidered with silk cotton floss thread and flat silk ribbon cord. Beading at the neck is repeated at the edges of the short, puffed sleeves. Long trumpet ties hang from the waist sash. The skirt is decorated with the same embroidery motif used on bolero. by chasity
