Home Spaces I love
I have shed many tears this year for my son, Bryce, who left us a little over a year ago. I loved him so much and miss him every day.
Every year on the first day of school since they started kindergarten, I have given my kids "magic jelly beans". Red to make a new friend. Orange to be courageous. Yellow to learn something new. Green to have fun. Blue to remember that I love you. They are grown now. Two in high school. Two in middle school. But they still get magic jelly beans on the first day. Because they really seem to work!
Movie night on Valentine's Day for the kids....cute to have waiting for them when they come home from school (:
i MUST start doing this now! trace the kids handprint on the same day every year so i can have a sweet keepsake once they are out on their
Photo & Flag party banner :) (i BET you have a photo from every year of yourself!!)
I have far too many classes to do this with and my kids wouldnt appreciate it from a student teacher, at least not in class time. But, for those of you with the same class throughout the year and with younger kids, this is a great idea to show them that you appreciate each and every one of them.
Every middle school classroom should have this on the wall. Especially at this time of year!
I say this all the time because it is not brought up at all. Every ones assumes that the Atheists have tons prof without even looking at it. I think this is a sad thing considering that if we don't teach kids OR adults to think critically than how are we as people going to make ANY scientific advancements?
Every year for Open House I have my kids write autobiographies about themselves, and we do the WHOLE process (they feel sooo fancy working
Back To School
Photo Only- Cute idea for end of school year photo...I'm going to glue a class photo to the middle of construction paper and have all the kids sign it...then laminate, end of the year gift!!!!!
Word of the Day
And enjoy every single year with your children, to me is very little time comparing the amount of time that after 21, they fly away from us. I cherish every single second i'm with them, and as best as my knowledge, I always try to be the best example i can be. :)
Too Good To Eat
I Can Cloud. I use I Can statements. As an end of the year project, we can use this cloud to make a timeline of all the things we've learned how to do this school year. I'll hang them up in the room and the kids can take them home the last day of school.
for the kids'
every kids needs a secret hideout & i love the storage in the bottom left
Valentine's Day treats instead of candy. Get the crayons when they're cheap before school starts and kids crayons are always dull or broken by mid school year. Love it!
Melting Broken Crayon Pieces...makes cute heart shaped crayons and great Valentines for kids
