L B Johnson 1973 Issue-8c.- On August 27, 1973, the US Post Office issued the 8-cent Lyndon B. Johnson memorial postage stamp, first placed on sale at the Post Office in Austin, Texas, The stamp was designed by Bradbury Thompson. Johnson's last appearance (to date) on a US Postage stamp occurred in 1986 where he is honored on one of a series of stamps called the AMERIPEX issues of 1986. The Post Office declined to commemorate his centennial in
Starting in 1994, the Palestinian National Authority (PNA) established post offices throughout the PNA, developed its own unique postmarks and issued stamps. The PNA has issued dozens of stamps and souvenir sheets since 1994... Despite some initial doubts in philatelic circles, the PNA stamps came to be used for postal activities within Palestine and for international postal communications as well.

Spectacle Reef is one of five lighthouses chosen to commemorate the more than 220 lighthouses that dot the bluffs, inlets and islands of the U.S. waters of the Great Lakes. The stamps were issued in 1995.
