Kids rooms are the most fun! But don't these parents worry about the kids falling off ladders? Was it just my parents who were paranoid
From @katherine center for #bayoucitymag "We gave our kids a set of monkey rings a few years back that we hung in our living room! It’s Houston, after all, and there are several months of the year when our backyard is lousy with mosquitoes, so we just thought we’d bring the fun inside…and it worked! Most toys have a pretty short shelf life, but our kids’ delight over these monkey rings has never flagged. Even my mom, who thought we were nuts at the time, agrees now: Best crazy gift ever."
My sons, you are both blessings to me~. But it shocks me still that not all parents feel the same about their children...but they don't.
Don't worry about the falling, but rather enjoy the sudden stop.
THIS IS WORTH KEEPING AND READING FREQUENTLY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Written by a 90 Year Old..... This is something we should all read at least once a week!!!!! Make sure you read to the end!!!!!! Written by Regina Brett, 90 years old, of the Plain Dealer, Cleveland , Ohio . "To celebrate growing older, I once wrote the 45 lessons life taught me. It is the most requested column I've ever written. My odometer rolled over to 90 in August, so here is the column once more: 1. Life isn't fair, but it's still good.. 2. When in doubt, just take the next small step. 3. Life is too short to waste time hating anyone. 4. Your job won't take care of you when you are sick. Your friends and parents will. Stay in touch. 5. Pay off your credit cards every month. 6. You don't have to win every argument. Agree to disagree. 7. Cry with someone. It's more healing than crying alone. 8. It's OK to get angry with God. He can take it. 9. Save for retirement starting with your first paycheck. 10. When it comes to chocolate, resistance is futile. 11. Make peace with your past so it won't screw up the present. 12. It's OK to let your children see you cry. 13. Don't compare your life to others. You have no idea what their journey is all about. 14. If a relationship has to be a secret, you shouldn't be in it. 15. Everything can change in the blink of an eye. But don't worry; God never blinks. 16. Take a deep breath It calms the mind. 17. Get rid of anything that isn't useful, beautiful or joyful. 18. Whatever doesn't kill you really does make you stronger. 19. It's never too late to have a happy childhood. But the second one is up to you and no one else. 20. When it comes to going after what you love in life, don't take no for an answer. 21. Burn the candles, use the nice sheets, wear the fancy lingerie. Don't save it for a special occasion. Today is special. 22. Over prepare, then go with the flow. 23. Be eccentric now. Don't wait for old age to wear purple. 24. The most important sex organ is the brain. 25. No one is in charge of your happiness but you. 26. Frame every so-called disaster with these words :'In five years, will this matter?' 27. Always choose life.. 28. Forgive everyone everything. 29. What other people think of you is none of your business. 30. Time heals almost everything. Give time time. 31. However good or bad a situation is, it will change. 32. Don't take yourself so seriously. No one else does. 33. Believe in miracles. 34. God loves you because of who God is, not because of anything you did or didn't do. 35. Don't audit life.. Show up and make the most of it now. 36. Growing old beats the alternative -- dying young. 37. Your children get only one childhood. 38. All that truly matters in the end is that you loved. 39. Get outside every day. Miracles are waiting everywhere. 40. If we all threw our problems in a pile and saw everyone else's, we'd grab ours back. 41. Envy is a waste of time. You already have all you need. 42. The best is yet to come... 43. No matter how you feel, get up, dress up and show up. 44. Yield. 45. Life isn't tied with a bow, but it's still a gift."
Another pinner said ... "my parents were the coolest and totally did this for us when we were kids! Our friends still talk about it!" How fun would this be for a kids sleepover?

You Were Beautifully Made by *Kipluck
I love making these tulips. They are one of my favorite quilled shapes. Simple, but just plain fun.
"You never created yourself. You were beautifully made." - Olakunlemi Akinsulire
If the exact quote or the author don't sound familiar don't beat yourself up. He is a fantastic African man who lives in Spain. He is brilliant, spiritual, and, yes, I think I probably love him. Though nothing will ever
I hate how people are always talking about "hipsters". When we were kids, it was 'emo'. Now, it's hipsters. STFU. !!! There will always be people who are trying to 'beat the system' or 'be different'. I don't know why you're so proud of being 'mainstream', let them have their dreams. Imagine if we had a nickname for mainstream people. "Death to Mainstream!" Wait, then we'd be hipster. JUST STOP. lol. Rant over.
These 39 Sight Word Videos for Young Kids may be fun to use with our kids learning AAC - all, again, after, about, go, is, look, up, for, said, in, it, you, I, a, and, to, the, had, give, off, under, to, but, play, says, very, his, go if, out - These were not created for AAC, but do you see a pattern? If you said they are all CORE WORDS, you're right!
"What's that sound?" ... "Oh, don't worry - that was just my britches melting clean off."
These 16 ways to teach kids about weather are fun for parents and kids alike.
make me smile
These lessons are often the hardest to learn. But the most rewarding. Also never worry about having to do it on your own. God will not let you fail, have faith.
I worry about being a young manager. These are tips from someone who learned the hard way. Don't copy other managers, find your own style!

EXACTLY!!! When you are digging food receipts out of the garbage can, you knew damn well it was time to move on.... You were just desperate and crazy & just wouldn't leave..... lol.... How embarrassing! I know so many embarrassing things about you.... some you don't even know. I am so glad that's not how I have to live my life.
I remember! This was the very first pic I saw of the boys with the quote saying "You don't know your beautiful!" I had no idea who these boys were but I loved the quote and obviously their looks! It was before they were big here so I hadn't even heard their music. But wow! This brings back memories!
Homemade Peppermint Foot Cream I originally found this recipe at Frugally Sustainable and I fell in love with it the first time I used it. It wasn't just the great peppermint smell, but it was what it did to my feet. For the last several years my feet have taken quite a beating. They were rough, dry, cracking, and had some kind of fungus that would not go away no matter what I put on them! This cream is AmAzInG!! I now have my soft, non fungus feet back! Don't worry, I won't
Sure it says these tips are for kids, but they're also helpful for adults who don't like to clean.
Baked Kale Chips Recipe - these are really good! Even kids like them. I use sesame oil when I make them. It gives a diff flavor also I don't worry about the type of kale.
Falling in love with the first book in a series is a wonderful thing: you don't have to worry about what to read next, you can just sit back and enjoy the reading. Kids and adults alike love these 7 great series.
The Glory Lily is the national flower of Zimbabwe. It grows mostly in jungles. The flower is extremely colourful and beautiful, but never grown in home gardens. Not in my country anyway. If eaten, it is as deadly as cyanide. There are many true stories about people committing suicide by eating the yam of this plant and I myself have come across a young boy who had a fight with his parents and died by eating it. It happened many years ago.
I wanted something to quill but not anything that would take long. I have this little crimpler that I made with my sons LEGO car wheels and was just crimpling some left over strips when I got this idea of the flower. The hardest part of my quilling is the idea of what to quill. Since I don't like doing what someone has already done, I need something different always. Creating it did not take long. The strips of paper is 1/8 inch. I needed just three colours. Red, yellow and green. It isn't a difficult flower at all.
peach crumble bars...I just made these tonight and they are amazing! The smell was amazing and the taste was incredible. You could really use any fruit for the filling, but I do agree that the peaches were amazing. The only thing about this dessert that I found too much was the sweetness. When I make it again, I think I'll want to cut the sugar a little bit. But other than that, amazing!
Done! I've had 2. One was a girl my age and one was a woman who I'd met through my family who liked to hear about my life. It was nice to have a friend in another place. I'd known both of them first before I started writing, but hardly saw them again - even though the letters lasted for years. I think these letters are how I became a writer.
GHOST GIRL! This is a photo taken in my grandparents backyard in the mid 70's. It was a birthday party for one of my aunts and there were a lot of kids around. When going through the photos a few days later when they were developed, everyone saw this face at the bottom of the photo but no-one knew who it was. That was until my grandma had a quick look and said "Oh, that looks like Maree." Maree had died about ten years prior to this photo being taken.
The second I find a gray hair on my head, I'm buying silver/gray hair dye. Just don't even worry about it.
Whitney and Michael - It was fun to have all of the wedding party gather together with the rest of the wedding attendees to send Michael and I off. Everyone was really excited and into it, particularly since the Sparkle sparklers were so long that even the kids could hold one with their parents! - Fran Fevrier Photography
