A Christmas tree decorated with Filipiniana-inspired ornaments and trimmings of buri and capiz bagged the 2012 Annual Christmas Tree Decorating Challenge. Organized by the Museum of Canadian Civilization (CMC) in Ottawa-Gatineau, the result of the competition was announced only last January 13, 2013. “The Philippine tree was by the far the favorite among CMC visitors,” the CMC said.
