This rare carved panel was found in the Bowcastle area, and depicts a coifed female head in profile. The arch above the head is typical of the "Romayne" style, typical of the first half of the 16th century. While is is possible that this may have been part of the ship, as there was a fashion for decorating warships with ornate decoration, it's considered more likely that this would have been part of an item of furniture. This image of a tailor's shop by an anonymous painter was painted in the late eighteenth century. The positioning and activity of the figures is relaxed and serves to show the activities of the tailors. The image depicts an urban tailor's shop. Although it is not beyond doubt that it is London, it looks no different to what the scene would like in the metropolis. Threading a needle, drinking and sowing are shown in a very rare visual insight by deanna

❤There has been a great deal of interest recently in the use of natural repellents of insects. And for good reason: DEET, the most commonly used chemical-based insect repellent that is put on human skin is considered by some to be a toxic health risk. Plants that were more repellent to insects were more likely to survive, and so it is quite possible that the highly aromatic, insect repellent quality of plants evolved naturally over time.❤ by freida

Stripped naked on the battlefield, and carried off on the back of a horse, Richard did not receive the noble burial of a king. For centuries his final resting place was a mystery.
