He was convicted for 11 murders, one attempted murder, 17 robberies, one rape, one attempted rape, one count of sexual abuse, two kidnappings, and two thefts. He killed his victims in a variety of ways, such as stabbing, shooting, strangling, bludgeoning to death with rocks and slitting their throats. He was sentenced to life in prison.

On the 7th June 1329 Robert the Bruce died at Cardross Castle in Dunbartonshire. His body was recovered with his cameras, which included a digital camera containing 150 photos. This was the last photo that Bill had taken, time stamped at 10:28 a.m. Just two minutes afterwards, the tower collapsed.
9/11: The youngest firefighter killed on 9/11. Firefighter Michael Cammarata, 22, was last seen evacuating people from the Marriott Hotel when the World Trade Center collapsed. Since his body was never identified, a vial of blood he donated before his death was placed in a casket presented at Our Lady Star of the Sea Church.
