Researchers have uncovered a rare photograph of a young Helen Keller with her teacher Anne Sullivan, nearly 120 years after it was taken on Cape Cod. The photograph, shot in July 1888 in Brewster, shows an 8-year-old Helen sitting outside in a light-colored dress, holding Sullivan’s hand and cradling one of her beloved dolls. Experts on Keller’s life believe it could be the earliest photo of the two women together and the only one showing by alana

The photo was taken in 1910. It’s the last photograph taken of Florence Nightingale. (It's rare: she was reluctant throughout her life to be photographed.) It shows 90 year old Florence in her bedroom at her home in London. The photo was taken by Lizzie Caswall Smith. On the back of the photo Smith wrote, “Taken just before she died, house near Park Lane. The only photograph I ever took out of studio. I shall never forget the experience.” by beth

Godiva is quite an adorable girl, we must say. She's a pit bull terrier mix, 9 months old (1/17), and she sports a short, chocolate-brown coat and the sweetest expression! Godiva has been spayed and is ready to go home with someone ready for an active young dog. Her first photo is Godiva today, and in the second, she's in her crate at a shelter adoption event, where she waited patiently for someone to come see her. by lynne
