The Saint Queen Necklace. 14th Century. Necklace in Gold, safires, imperial topaz, rubis, emeralds and pearls. Belonged to the Saint Queen Isabel of Portugal (Isabel of Aragón) wife of the king Dinis of Portugal. She donated it to the monastery Santa Clara-a-velha of Coimbra. It's damaged and probably incomplete but it is a rare piece of Portuguese medieval jewelry due to it's non religious origin and historical value. It has the highest level of protection. #Museu Nacional Machado de Castro by hillary
