Memorial Day weekend is the official summer kick-off. Every year, this weekend marks the calendar with family picnics, backyard BBQs, and pool parties. In our neck of the woods, it inevitably rains, but that never stop us from celebrating like it's sunny outside! Grab a pitcher and join me in turning summer's favorite staple — lemonade! — into the perfect cocktail for happy hour. by molly

That time I made Raweos, because Friday feels kinda chocolaty! Sharing some new and (hopefully) exciting recipes this weekend, but if you're interested in the one I used to make these particular #raw, #plantbased refined #sugarfree & utterly delish treats, check out beautiful @talinegabriel's #hippielane app✌️ Mama+baby yoga today was super gentle & much needed. I was late on account of "saving" a beetle from the footpath (Louie & Lillian were concerned for his safety)... and then on my way to the clinic with Lillian I spotted a young gull who I suspected might be injured. I want to thank Monika (?) at @djurambulansenstockholm for taking my call and referring me onto a local bird expert (still haven't managed to get through, but have left a message @amyspieceofcake xx). Tonight I need to meditate, start getting our place ready to be photographed & get onto sending out birth announcements (yeah, I know!), but before signing off I just want to send some love to ALL the volunteers out there who work tirelessly to improve the lives of other beings, animal or human❤️. I'm in awe of your selflessness and truly thankful that people like you exist. Thanks for the support on my last two posts, all! And for those interested in #missmarzipan95k, see previous posts for deets. And do visit my friends @heavenlynnhealthy @greensmoothiegourmet and @elavegan for more celebration (love you, girls) Loads of weekend love from Stockholm to wherever you are Marisa xx by rebecca2

Road Trip Snack Boxes for Kids - “I made these for this summer's trip and it was a huge hit. I found the boxes in the craft section at Wal-Mart and included a variety of salty and sweet treats. Then on each leg of our trip (divided up into 1-2 hour increments), they could choose one or two things to eat. Very convenient on us as parents and the kids love it, too." by hannahmnt

Abandoned pens and other such stationery stand a chance at purposeful usage, thanks to the Pen Printer. The device uses the ink from discarded pens to print on paper. The current tech may not support such an ambitious idea, but it’s worth the exploration, since many of us have bundles of uncapped and discarded pens in our drawers for no apparent reason. by benita

Pastor Jeremiah Steepek (pictured) transformed himself into a homeless person and went to the 10,000 member church that he was to be introduced as the head pastor at that morning. He walked around his soon to be church for 30 minutes while it was filling with people for service, only 3 people out of the 7-10,000 people said hello to him. He asked people for change to buy food - NO ONE in the church gave him change. He went into the sanctuary to sit down in the front of the church and was asked by the ushers if he would please sit n the back. He greeted people to be greeted back with stares and dirty looks, with people looking down on him and judging him.As he sat in the back of the church, he listened to the church announcements and such. When all that was done, the elders went up and were excited to introduce the new pastor of the church to the congregation. "We would like to introduce to you Pastor Jeremiah Steepek." The congregation looked around clapping with joy and anticipation. The homeless man sitting in the back stood up and started walking down the aisle. The clapping stopped with ALL eyes on him. He walked up the altar and took the microphone from the elders (who were in on this) and paused for a moment then he recited, “Then the King will say to those on his right, ‘Come, you who are blessed by my Father; take your inheritance, the kingdom prepared for you since the creation of the world. For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in, I needed clothes and you clothed me, I was sick and you looked after me, I was in prison and you came to visit me.’ “Then the righteous will answer him, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed you, or thirsty and give you something to drink? When did we see you a stranger and invite you in, or needing clothes and clothe you? When did we see you sick or in prison and go to visit you?’'The King will reply, ‘Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.’After he recited this, he looked towards the congregation and told them all what he had experienced that morning. Many began to cry and many heads were bowed in shame. He then said, "Today I see a gathering of people, not a church of Jesus Christ. The world has enough people, but not enough disciples. When will YOU decide to become disciples?" He then dismissed service until next week.Being a Christian is more than something you claim. It's something you live by and share with others. by sherri

You just dot the jars with glow-in-the-dark paint, let them soak up the light during the day and at night… shock & awe! You can store things like cotton balls, and then at night…they’re kind of like a little nightlight. The glow-in-the-dark paint can be ordered from Amazon. These look even cooler using several colors of paint together. Totally doing this for the woods. by sallysimonson
