Our new pop-up greenhouse, with shade cloth on! Its not quite as easy as they make it look on the box, but it is pretty easy - just like putting a tent together. I like to have fresh greens all winter and this is how I do it. I have two Juwel Cold Frames. I sprayed black paint on two 1-gallon bottles for each. Fill the bottles with water and put them at the back wall of the Cold Frame. by Katharina Mallet-Gulley

This works, I was up at 4:00am searching for this (since I hadn't pinned it when I first saw it!) Soaked up what I could from my 3yo's oops, then sprayed this on. This morning, it looks like new! (which it WAS two weeks ago!!) Guess I shouldn't procrastinate putting on the mattress pad. by nanette

dendrobium white orchids - roses, calla lily and for the greens, it looks like Italian ruscus. I would use different greens on the top and sides and add variegated ivy as the long stems along with the ruscus. This is a tear drop and by adding different greens, it would be less formal and would have more "movement" and texture. by jeannette

All you do is buy the picture frames, and use whatever colored paper you would like to make it pretty. Put the class on it, and then you can write on it. I would put this by the door going out so then you'll know what you have to do for the day. by Gloria Garcia

Before you start heading to the mall to pick up the latest spring fashion, consider putting together a mix and match wardrobe (or capsule wardrobe as others may call it). With the purchase of 10-15 articles of clothing, you can create an entire wardrobe full of colors you love and easy co-ordinations. I put together 15 inexpensive outfits with my 15 clothing options from Kmart, but could have easily created more. by dona

FRIDAY AFTERNOONS:This term, my weekly supervisions are on a Friday at 1pm. This means that my week revolves around one hour (or usually two) of intense one-on-one contact time with my supervisor. After a supervision my brain always hurts so much, and I usually feel mentally drained but also weirdly energetic (?). I usually go to the gym straight after supervisions to release energy, but I’ve also found that the time following a supervision is great for organising the week to come. I had a brand new Moleskine delivered today (yay!), so I spent time drawing out a timetable for next week & I’m gradually filling it in. My week may seem quite empty at the moment, but I usually fill each day in as I go through the week, informed with an overall view of what I need to get done by the end of the week. It may seem unorganised to do this, but my degree is quite self-motivated with hardly any contact time or relevant lectures, so organising my days as I go along works for me. Also: some things here happen very last minute, and I wouldn’t like to tightly pack my schedule early on in the week only to have to change it later. I’m a bit of a perfectionist and would hate to scribble stuff out. But I can tell you something: most of that week from 8am-9pm will be filled in with red: WORK TIME. Thank goodness I love my degree. -Sarah by lindsay0

Delicious Winter Casserole Ideas :: During the winter time, it is nice to serve delicious comfort food that is easy to make like casseroles. Many of these dishes are also freezer friendly so you can prepare ahead of time and cook when it is convenient. I love coming across tips like this...sometimes it is just helpful to read what to do than to have to think about it too much. I like healthy eating to not be over thought, taxing, burdensome..you get the picture...eating healthy should be simple, taste fabulous, and be as natural and easy as breathing, or putting one foot in front of the other...you don't think about it...YOU JUST DO IT! This is another possibility for my 'smart' concept. "Some colors I used last season were Silver Strand (light blue gray), Mindful gray, Oyster Pearl, Passive Gray, and Intellectual Gray. I also like soft greens and richer blue tones. A good clean white is nice for trim because it makes the wall color pop. I use oil based paint on all my cabinets and trim so it is easy to clean. I always like to get samples and put them up on the wall before I determine what color to go with." by margarett

OK... sprayed some no-stick spray on the baking pan you see in the picture. Browned a pound of ground beef with 1/2 diced onion and some chopped green onions. Drained it. Added about a cup of water and a packet of Taco Bell taco seasoning mix. Got a 27 oz can of "El Mexicano Chili for Rellenos" and drained them, rinsed them, pulled them into small strips with my fingers. (Fresh Poblano peppers would probably make this even better). Combined 4 eggs, 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour, salt, pepper, fat-free milk (would have used whole milk but we had fat-free milk on hand) in a separate dish and whisked that all together. Added a small can of green chilis to that flour/milk mix along with another 1/2 diced raw onion and a little more chopped up raw green onion. Put a layer of chilis on the bottom of the baking pan shown in the picture. Ladel some of the egg/milk/onions mixture on top. Add a layer of shredded cheddar cheese and "mexican blend shredded cheese". Now add another layer of the chilis... another layer of egg/milk/onions stuff, another layer of shredded cheeses. I made a total of 3 layers like this. Baked at 350 for about 45 minutes, then added a small can of sliced black olives and put it on a high broil for 4-5 minutes. Let it sit 20 minutes or so and serve it up. We topped it with sour cream and some homemade poblano/jalapeno hot sauce I'd made last weekend. Oh yeah... of course I spooned in some of the seasoned/browned ground beef on each of the 3 layers, too... heh heh... kind of an important part of the recipe. One other thing... I also tore up two large flour tortillas into bite-sized pieces and added those in to the dish as I was building up the layers. by dollie
