A room is not complete without something living or breathing life into it. Whether that is a plant, flower, or shell, there are a lot of options to fill that requirement. A potted plant perfectly fits that category and is a wonderful way to fill a space. Taking care of plants is also good for the soul. When I tend to my little greens, I find myself more contemplative and meditative. So what are the best plants for indoors? Look further. by bettye

Build Your Own Baby Gate. This is great for the bottom of the stairs, or the top, if you used a more child-proof latch design. Maybe just putting the latch on the side the kids aren't supposed to be on would keep little fingers from opening this. I REALLY love how it looks--and it's really just a half door. Yeah. When someone said to me "Nobody likes me I'm just going to end up a loner like Ms. Withbroe" I wanted to go cry in the corner. I would have if I could cry. But of all the insults they had given me before and after that statement, that is what hurt me the most. I don't know what's wrong with me. Honestly, why did that hurt me so much more than when they were insulting me? :( by Caiteyb

The past few days have been extremely overwhelming for me. As a budding entrepreneur it seems I have a never ending to-do list. I have found recently that my OWN self care has been slipping. And that makes me feel guilty and out of integrity. Because I teach self care. I preach the benefits of it. I need to remind myself from time to time to listen to my own advice. . Those of us who are super sensitive empaths tend to be very outward focused. We are always scanning our environment feeling into peoples moods and energies. We are also natural born people pleasers. We LOVE to help other. Which is a beautiful thing. But it can become harmful to us when we feel guilty saying no. We feel if we say no to someone or an event or project that we are letting someone down disappointing them or worse- making them angry. We often feel that their reaction is our responsibility. And so we put ourselves last time and time again. We say yes over and over until we are completely drained exhausted and resentful. . But no is NOT A BAD WORD. No is a self-loving self-respecting responsible mature and often times kind word. We have to start asking ourselves why we always fall to the end of the line. Why we are so worried about disappointing others- but what about disappointing ourselves? I often ask my clients who are struggling to say no what would you say to a friend in this situation. Because the answer is almost always that the friend should stand up for and care for her energetic needs. So then why is it that YOU do not deserve the same is my next question. . You deserve to say no. You deserve to stand up and to take care of you. You are important and needed in this world. But if you dont give yourself the love you so freely give to others you will be stuck in a cycle of overwhelm turmoil and exhaustion. . Join me on January 26th for a potent conversation on how to care for yourself as a sensitive soul in this world. This powerful workshop is FREE and will ignite you on your path to re-connecting to the beautiful truth of who you are and to working on setting boundaries and practicing the magical word no. . When I was just a little girl I asked my mother what will I be, will I be pretty, will I be rich here's what she said to me. What ever will be will be the futures not ours to see. As a grandma dear granddaughter I wish you always joy and happiness and some how I think you will be as pretty as this princess but that matters so little it is what is inside your heart and your love and kindness to others that matter, and esepecially your faith in God that will truly see you through your life. Im sorry if I seemed like a bitch.. I tried being an example.. sometimes standing up for self is all we can do. Teaching others to stand for self. So many are hiding from past hurts.. not their fault pains. They get bullied from others that dont understand what took to survive and still be able to share talk understand or love even. All the abuse that nobody knows.. vibes that cry in the night. Empaths feel that and they might go crazy from it if those that feel less dont stop playing games. by celina.neo

FRIDAY AFTERNOONS:This term, my weekly supervisions are on a Friday at 1pm. This means that my week revolves around one hour (or usually two) of intense one-on-one contact time with my supervisor. After a supervision my brain always hurts so much, and I usually feel mentally drained but also weirdly energetic (?). I usually go to the gym straight after supervisions to release energy, but I’ve also found that the time following a supervision is great for organising the week to come. I had a brand new Moleskine delivered today (yay!), so I spent time drawing out a timetable for next week & I’m gradually filling it in. My week may seem quite empty at the moment, but I usually fill each day in as I go through the week, informed with an overall view of what I need to get done by the end of the week. It may seem unorganised to do this, but my degree is quite self-motivated with hardly any contact time or relevant lectures, so organising my days as I go along works for me. Also: some things here happen very last minute, and I wouldn’t like to tightly pack my schedule early on in the week only to have to change it later. I’m a bit of a perfectionist and would hate to scribble stuff out. But I can tell you something: most of that week from 8am-9pm will be filled in with red: WORK TIME. Thank goodness I love my degree. -Sarah by lindsay0

I was reading through old notes on Evernote the other day and I stumbled across a list of books I read during my recovery from depression. By that I mean the time after coming home when I had nothing better to do with my time than actually get better, so that's what I did. Here are 10 books I read during my recovery that I found to be helpful (there were more books, but I didn't include them if they weren't good :)). #depressionbooks #depression #depressiontips #depressed by elisabeth
