A no-sew easy to move "safety-curtain" for a classroom door. It is a dowel rod and command hooks spray painted with oil rubbed bronze and drawer pulls hot glued to the ends. A no-sew curtain long enough to cover the door and then some is draped over the rod so the pattern shows from the outside too. Roll up the material and then use Velcro to attach the ribbons. by roslyn

Using a small bookshelf turned outward and a curtain, why not create a closet in a nook or behind a door? Making sure to anchor the bookcase to the wall for stability, you could mount a hanging rod across the allotted space and disguise it with a curtain. If the bookcase is not sturdy enough to attach the hanging rack to, simply add a wall-mounted rod, like this one from Improvements. by ewmom104

Toddler Weekly Calendar. Glued ribbon on a yard stick, used Velcro to attach the days of the week. Printed out clip art of activities of the week, ie school, church, t-ball, birthdays, holidays, etc. Glued them to clothes pins that can be interchanged. Also included a "Today is" clip that my son can move everyday. Great way to teach the days of the week, and no more 100 questions about when his t-ball game is, I tell him to look at his calendar!! by ethel

I would go one step further and put hooks over a plastic tray to catch the dirt and drips! What a great idea for any door leading to the outside. I would make sure it was high enough to accommodate boots in winter, maybe some sort of hollow dowel to slide over the hook to make it longer so that it extended into boots? by felicia

Old bed post with old door knobs makes a nice coat hanger near the door especially if no closet is available in that area. To attach the door knob you can glue with a heavy duty glue or purchase wood dowels that fit center of knob flush and measure and mark where you want the door knobs and use screws long enough to go thru headboard and into the dowel inside the knob. If you can find a good glue that is easiest way to go. To hang put two screws by lora

Curtain Rod Frame Display (with some of my fav Chas pics!). Materials: curtain rod ($4 at Christmas Tree Shop), 3 frames (Dollar Tree), ribbon, hot glue gun, 6 thumbtacks. Cut your ribbon into strips and glue the loose ends together, then glue them on to the back of your frames. I reinforced mine with thumbtacks through the wood. I just did this today. Found here on Pinterest a while back and thought what a neat idea since we use our pool almost everyday in the warmer months. Just buy a shower rod, this one is a tension one and then I used the hooks to hang the curtain on, as hooks for the wet suits and towels instead. by Vonda 24

empty glass bottles filled with cute little Valentine themed M’s. wrapped and glued a 3/4 inch strip of blue card stock around the middle and attached “Happy Heart Day” label to the front. Then tied a couple pretty ribbons and red pipe cleaner to the mouth of the bottle and attached a “from” tag and that’s it! Note: to make the pipe cleaner curly you just wrap the ends around a pencil. by aniellabrooke
