The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo -- Haven't seen the English version but I watched the Swedish version today and it was amazing. The acting
I hate to say it, but once in a great while, the movie is better. For example: Fight Club, The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo (the American or Swedish one), and A Clockwork Orange. Just my opinion though.
Books Worth Reading
Disney Dudez HOW HAVE I NOT SEEN THIS BEFORE?! -- still not sure what I just watched, but it was epic....and filled with auto-tune.
I never owned the doll, but Samantha was my favorite American Girl, and I was obsessed with her. I did own the paper doll version of her, though (and loved it!).
For the Nest
The Office Finale. I haven't seen this yet, but it still makes me cry.
Chicken, Squash, and Chickpea Salad With Tahini Dressing. I was skeptical. But it was amazing.
The Young Victoria - 6/6/13 A stunning, emotional, beautiful film. I adored this move. It's obviously English history which I love but it was very well done. First movie I watched for a *DVD Forum Challenge*.
Lily Elsie was a popular actress and singer in Edwardian days. A century later, thanks to the Internet, she has been rediscovered. Her dreamy beauty was captured in scores of photographs. She posed in many beautiful dresses, but none so frequently as the one seen here. I haven't been able to discover who designed the gown (although one source claims it was Lucile) or what color it was, but that just sets us free to imagine.
Creamy Tomato Tortellini Soup. This was Absolutely AMAZING! Everyone has loved it. I even made a lighter version with milk instead of cream, it wasn't nearly as rich and delicious but still worked, and a lot less calories :)
My French is basically self-taught, but I'm pretty sure this is 'The Third Man' and I just finished reading it in English. One case where the book is just as fabulous as the movie. Joseph Cotten said this, among many other things, of his acting career: 'Orson Welles thought Citizen Kane was his finest picture, Sir Carol Reed considered The Third Man to be his best and Alfred Hitchcock's favorite accomplishment was Shadow of A Doubt. I was in all three.'
The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo (2011)
The VERY first tattoo I ever actually planned out when I was like 17 was almost this exactly, but I had never seen it depicted as an actual tattoo before. This is absolutely gorgeous!
