From Mansfield Reformatory in OH: when we took this picture to show the unique design, we got an image in the background of what appears to be either a guard or houseboy (some of the good behavior prisoners were used to clean and help out in the administrative offices and the living quarters of the warden). We saw nothing when the image was taken and the area was clear of people while I took it. Besides, the sunlight lines would have been broken because... Read more at Ohio Ghost Pictures by elsa

This remarkable photo, taken at the New Bell Inn pub in Harwich Essex, England in October of 2010, may be the clearest "capture" of a ghost ever! The woman in the fireplace was not seen when the photo was snapped, and a closer examination shows brickwork in the fireplace being evident through her face, suggesting a degree of transparency. What's especially interesting about the photo is the way the figure is dressed; she appears to be wearing clothing consistent with what a pub maiden would... by concepcion

COVERT SCIENCE--In an otherwise deserted park in a suburb of Ängelholm, Sweden, lies what at first glance appears to be a lonely piece of playground equipment. It's not—it’s a memorial to a UFO landing that took place on that spot, May 18, 1946, and was witnessed by Gösta Carlsson, founder of the Swedish pharmaceutical corporation, Cernelle. According to legend, wherever the Pandorica was taken, throughout its long history, the Centurion would be there, guarding it. He appears as an iconic image in the artwork of many cultures, and there are several documented accounts of his appearances and his warnings to the many who attempted to open the box before its time. #DoctorWho by ethel

Nancy Ward: Ghi-ga-u (Beloved Woman) of the Cherokee was a very important title. It was believed that the Supreme Beings often spoke to the people through the Ghi-ga-u, and they were given absolute power in the question of what happens to prisoners taken in war. Nancy did not hesitate to use that power. During the Revolution War she used her status to save many American prisoners that were going to be killed by Native Americans. by tina

GETTYSBURG SPIRITED GROVE! "This is a photo I took of my wife as we entered the spirited grove in Gettysburg. We were on a ghost tour in Gettysburg and I was taking pictures. My wife was not wearing a hood, scarf, or hat. If you look closely at the top, you can see her hair above the skeletal face. Also, there seems to be a face to the right of the skull image." When things get difficult, it’s easy to want to give up. It’s easy to get down and discouraged. But, that’s not God’s plan for us. God wants us to be so full of hope, so full of expectancy that we just can’t help believing for the best. He wants us to be prisoners of hope! When you’re a prisoner of something, it’s like you’re chained to it. In other words, you can’t get away from it. I know people that are prisoners of fear, prisoners of worry, prisoners of doubt. You’ve heard them. ... by tania

GHOST GIRL! This is a photo taken in my grandparents backyard in the mid 70's. It was a birthday party for one of my aunts and there were a lot of kids around. When going through the photos a few days later when they were developed, everyone saw this face at the bottom of the photo but no-one knew who it was. That was until my grandma had a quick look and said "Oh, that looks like Maree." Maree had died about ten years prior to this photo being taken. by florence

Varosha, Cyprus: Photographing this city, fenced off by the Turkish military in 1974, is forbidden. These images show a rare glimpse inside of this eerie ghost town. The area was once home to thousands of Greek Cypriots who have been denied for decades the right to return to their homes. The photographer who took these images nearly lost his camera to a military patrol, and the slanted angles are a result of shooting from his side when he could. by callie
