This rare carved panel was found in the Bowcastle area, and depicts a coifed female head in profile. The arch above the head is typical of the "Romayne" style, typical of the first half of the 16th century. While is is possible that this may have been part of the ship, as there was a fashion for decorating warships with ornate decoration, it's considered more likely that this would have been part of an item of furniture. If you take a walk from the cathedral across th promenade (dating from the eigthteenth and nineteenth century) you will come to the All Saints’church. The parish church of All Saints' is a previous Turkish mosque with a cupola wich was erected at the turn of the 16th and the 17th century. The particular beauty of this object unique in all Croatia lies in its interior made in a Byizantine and Arabic style. by lisa50667
