A party by Stitch/Craft with Lowly worm favors - I love this, although not sure if I have the time to do that for 15 kids
Birthday Party Planning
Love the general idea of the elf arrival party but not sure about so overboard especially with tight funds this year :) No need for toys etc. but would love to possibly have a party with some PJ's and a craft.
"We're not alone in this. Every type of loving relationship deals with this shit. It's natural to take advantage and take for granted of the ones we love most. We have to recognize it and make sure we don't do it. Although it's a subconscious thing. I don't think there is control. The best we can do is make sure to make an effort to tell others we appreciate them."
i want to do this so bad! not sure if i have the guts though...
Rainbow Swirl Bread, I want to do this one time just because I think the kids would FLIP!! Not sure if I could eat it though...
I really gotta figure this cake pop thing out. Although I'm not sure I'll ever have enough time on my hands to do what some of these people
7th February 2014 I have been so overrun with requests for the recipe for fudge ever since I tweeted a picture of the finished product earlier in the week, that I feel it is only right and proper to give it to you. In truth, I wasn't sure at first - hence the delay - as I do worry slightly about giving a recipe that involves quite so much boiling sugar. My concerns are not primarily dietary - although I wouldn't want any nutritionist to read
Absolutely adorable site with tons of ideas for games and favors for a children's Halloween party - we used to do a party every year when our kids were little - I would have loved to have this site for ideas
A Prayer for when I Do not Know What or How to Pray - 1 John 5:14-15 - Now this is the confidence that we have in Him, that if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us. And if we know that He hears us, whatever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we have asked of Him.
Sewing Inspiration for me
Giving some serious thought to dying my hair super dark with purple streaks this fall. This color, but a much longer style. I think it is time for a change and I'd love to rock an edgier look - but not sure if I have the guts...
I have far too many classes to do this with and my kids wouldnt appreciate it from a student teacher, at least not in class time. But, for those of you with the same class throughout the year and with younger kids, this is a great idea to show them that you appreciate each and every one of them.
haha i love this! The only one I kinda disagree with is number two, not sure if it means fancy smancy or just a place to have fun in general! For me, as long as we have a good time I'm good! Ugh, I think a cute first date would be on the boardwalk! Not a theme park, a boardwalk! :D too bad I don't live near one x(
I'm not sure how well this would stand up to the abuse of kids, but I have a leather love seat that would look fabulous with this kind of treatment.
Separating wall. Not sure how to do this but I sure love it with the lights
Not sure if I can do this with the line brush & keep it straight but I sure will give it a try! Another cute one for the toes...
tutorial: anthropologie lampshade love this will have to do for the kids room color schemes. And i have a cricket to do it with, this will
Spend LESS: homemade substitutes for grocery staples love this - not that I have time to do this for everything, but at least some of it I
vinyl storage I have to do this for craft room. Wud just use a large frame and not deal with all the cutting etc
IF, and I truly do mean IF (and that's a big IF at that!), we have a third, I'd totally love to do week-by-week photos like this again, and love the questions she answered each week!
i love this idea for party favors, not the bag full of sugar the kids usually come home with. very clever.
Looking for a fun craft for your child to do this #summer? Why not have them create a scrapbook that will help them to remember all of the fun things that they did with this My Summer Stories #printable #scrapbook!
Not sure what to do with all those old borders? Make hats! Kids love them! (I now collect old bulletin board strips from people to use for this!)
Netherlands liberation, 1945 - A soldier shares his food with two Dutch kids. An earlier pinner said that this soldier was likely Canadian, but while I would like to think so, I'm not 100% sure if that's the case. It can be difficult to tell the difference between Canadian and American soldiers in these photos - so what do you think?
My life is a constant battle between my love for food and not wanting to get fat.-well said... Although at the end of the year if I don't have to buy a bigger size pair of pants, I think I'll consider that a win!
Dance is good for the soul
Something fun for the kids to find one day. If I lived out by a wooded place, I would go pick a tree and do this too it for sure.
Although I love Downton Abbey, I have to side with my fandoms and be completely distraught with the results. Whovians, Sherlockians, and Merlinians do not approve of this winner.
Color and Pattern
1. My life is likely to last 10 to 15 years. Any separation from you will be painful. Remember that before you get me. 2. Give me time to understand what you want of me. 3. Place your trust in me- it is crucial to my well being. 4. Do not be angry at me for long, and do not lock me up as punishment. 5. You have your work, your entertainment, and your friends. I only have you. 6. Talk to me sometimes. Even if I don't understands your words, I understand your voice when it is speaking to me. 7. Be aware that how ever you treat me, I will never forget. 8. Remember before you hit me that I have teeth that could easily hurt you, but I choose not to bite you because I love you. 9. Before you scold me for being uncooperative, obstinate, or lazy, ask yourself if something might be bothering me. Perhaps I might not be getting the right food, or I have been out to long, or my heart is getting to old and weak. 10. Take care of me when I get old; you too will grow old. Go with me on difficult journeys. Never say: "I cannot bear to watch" or "Let it happen in my absence." Everything is easier for me if you are there, even my death. Remember that I love you.
Too Good To Eat
I have always thought that this flower, the black bat flower, is gorgeous and mysterious looking. Although I love to look at it, I'm not
This is the most clever child's party I have seen in a long time. Heck...I would LOVE to have this theme for my own party!! LOL totfudge_oz_munchkinland_600x2175
THIS IS WORTH KEEPING AND READING FREQUENTLY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Written by a 90 Year Old..... This is something we should all read at least once a week!!!!! Make sure you read to the end!!!!!! Written by Regina Brett, 90 years old, of the Plain Dealer, Cleveland , Ohio . "To celebrate growing older, I once wrote the 45 lessons life taught me. It is the most requested column I've ever written. My odometer rolled over to 90 in August, so here is the column once more: 1. Life isn't fair, but it's still good.. 2. When in doubt, just take the next small step. 3. Life is too short to waste time hating anyone. 4. Your job won't take care of you when you are sick. Your friends and parents will. Stay in touch. 5. Pay off your credit cards every month. 6. You don't have to win every argument. Agree to disagree. 7. Cry with someone. It's more healing than crying alone. 8. It's OK to get angry with God. He can take it. 9. Save for retirement starting with your first paycheck. 10. When it comes to chocolate, resistance is futile. 11. Make peace with your past so it won't screw up the present. 12. It's OK to let your children see you cry. 13. Don't compare your life to others. You have no idea what their journey is all about. 14. If a relationship has to be a secret, you shouldn't be in it. 15. Everything can change in the blink of an eye. But don't worry; God never blinks. 16. Take a deep breath It calms the mind. 17. Get rid of anything that isn't useful, beautiful or joyful. 18. Whatever doesn't kill you really does make you stronger. 19. It's never too late to have a happy childhood. But the second one is up to you and no one else. 20. When it comes to going after what you love in life, don't take no for an answer. 21. Burn the candles, use the nice sheets, wear the fancy lingerie. Don't save it for a special occasion. Today is special. 22. Over prepare, then go with the flow. 23. Be eccentric now. Don't wait for old age to wear purple. 24. The most important sex organ is the brain. 25. No one is in charge of your happiness but you. 26. Frame every so-called disaster with these words :'In five years, will this matter?' 27. Always choose life.. 28. Forgive everyone everything. 29. What other people think of you is none of your business. 30. Time heals almost everything. Give time time. 31. However good or bad a situation is, it will change. 32. Don't take yourself so seriously. No one else does. 33. Believe in miracles. 34. God loves you because of who God is, not because of anything you did or didn't do. 35. Don't audit life.. Show up and make the most of it now. 36. Growing old beats the alternative -- dying young. 37. Your children get only one childhood. 38. All that truly matters in the end is that you loved. 39. Get outside every day. Miracles are waiting everywhere. 40. If we all threw our problems in a pile and saw everyone else's, we'd grab ours back. 41. Envy is a waste of time. You already have all you need. 42. The best is yet to come... 43. No matter how you feel, get up, dress up and show up. 44. Yield. 45. Life isn't tied with a bow, but it's still a gift."
Summer Veggie Slaw with Salmon Today I answer this question: how do I prepare a good grilled salmon? Simple and as fast. Salmon does not require much time in the pan, 3-4 minutes would be sufficient. I like much rosemary in this equation, but if you do not like do not have to use. Good appetite!
