Number Playdough Mats with Ten Frames (from A Differentiated Kindergarten) This seems like a really fun activity that could be used for math during community workers unit. If you use different community workers cars for different numbers and make each of them fun to look at and interesting to the students. Plus what kids kindergarten aged wouldn't love to work with playdough.
no sew DIY tulle tutu. so cute and versatile! this could be adapted to something small like a scrunchy hairpiece or even an adult halloween costume--though nothing is quite as adorable as a little girl running around the house as a ballerina ;)
Mermaid party -- balloons contained within netting on a ceiling -- so clever! This would be fun at just about any party. You could just have balloons or you could add a little something to them, when you drop the net, the kids can get one. Like a balloon pinata!
I printed this off for my hubby's birthday on a piece of paper that said, "If I could give Dad a soccer ball for his birthday, this is what it would look like". We put a sticky note over each one so Daddy could "unwrap" each present. It was lots of fun!
