his is a great activity for developing cognitive and fine motor skills. Children take the alphabet strips and put them together in order from A to Z. You can print these on regular paper and use glue sticks to put them together or you can print them on carstock ... laminate them and attach velcro to each end. You can download the Alphabet Sequence Chain here. by charlotte

Thanks! I painted the inside of the ornament with Folkart acrylic paint. I just poured the paint in and swirled the paint around the ornament until it was coated and then put it upside on a solo cup to drain out excess paint. I've tried several brands of paint including Applebarn but Folkart works the best for this project to me. The others are too thin and don't stick as well when I turn it upside down to drain. The rest is just vinyl and by charlotte

Kids Craft for the 4th ~ red, white & blue big felt stars with gliltter around edges (I would have put contrasting glitter on each star still using RWB), glue ribbon on back after glitter is dry & then glue stick on top of ribbon. I'm thinking hot gluing another star on backside so that it looks finished all around! by tanisha

~Musical Stories~ Find a piece of classical music that has a lot of texture and variation. Have students listen to the music and imagine what kind of characters and story could be happening as the music unfolds. Then have the kids form small groups and tell each other what they imagined. As a group, they decide on which story is most interesting, or choose elements from each person’s story to make up a new story. As a group, they decide who will play each character, and who will narrate. by angeline
