I think the reason is that they are just as hurt as you and they just don't know what to do or say. That's why you should always say what's on your mind and just get right to the point and don't let the person you like or have feelings for just hang. Sooner or later it just might be to late to say anything at all. by lesley

Susans Free Comparing Monsters - an Activity for I Need My Monster There are a variety of great language skill building activities that can be done with any book you read in your classroom. On the way to understanding complete story elements and construction students need to be able to describe characters and settings and to compare and contrast two or more of each. I usually begin a discussion of comparing and contrasting by having students use two shirts they can see in the classroom at the time two students; anything they can visually reference and find familiar. We then apply the same skills to comparing the characters in the book. A great book for comparing and contrasting is I Need My Monster by Amanda NollandHoward McWilliam I created this comparison chart for a student of mine. I hope you find it helpful too. Just drag it to your desktop and print. Have fun and Keep on Talking! Find me at Kidz Learn Language by graciela

I just love anything made with onion...this recipe is no exception...the more the merrier. The creamy, flavorful sauce, could be eaten over mashed potatoes, noodles or rice...my kids wanted noodles. I usually prefer the bone in, center cut chops with this recipe, but all I had was boneless. This recipe can also be made in the crock pot...I didn't have time for that, so I baked it in the oven... Enjoy! My photos by Valerie Galloway Hunter

FRIDAY AFTERNOONS:This term, my weekly supervisions are on a Friday at 1pm. This means that my week revolves around one hour (or usually two) of intense one-on-one contact time with my supervisor. After a supervision my brain always hurts so much, and I usually feel mentally drained but also weirdly energetic (?). I usually go to the gym straight after supervisions to release energy, but I’ve also found that the time following a supervision is great for organising the week to come. I had a brand new Moleskine delivered today (yay!), so I spent time drawing out a timetable for next week & I’m gradually filling it in. My week may seem quite empty at the moment, but I usually fill each day in as I go through the week, informed with an overall view of what I need to get done by the end of the week. It may seem unorganised to do this, but my degree is quite self-motivated with hardly any contact time or relevant lectures, so organising my days as I go along works for me. Also: some things here happen very last minute, and I wouldn’t like to tightly pack my schedule early on in the week only to have to change it later. I’m a bit of a perfectionist and would hate to scribble stuff out. But I can tell you something: most of that week from 8am-9pm will be filled in with red: WORK TIME. Thank goodness I love my degree. -Sarah by lindsay0

Shutter Speed, ISO, Aperture ... To be comfortable shooting manual you will need to know what your necessary adjustments are. Though these settings are all numeric, there isn’t some insane math equation that you need to do to find out what to dial them into. You need to play with those number’s prior to each session, within your session surroundings, to get a good understanding. I usually set up about 10 mins prior to a photo shoot to adjust my camera, I even use my husband as my test model. by helen

EDITOR'S NOTE: Jealousy as I've seen it, is always destructive. I've seen countless fights, arguments, and ridiculous behavior because of the green eyed monster. It can be explosive and cause a lot of anger. I always liked how one of my friends put it once, 'If other guys are checking out my girl, I feel proud, cause she's my girl'. And, I think it's important to get to that healthy point to know the truth that person is yours. by Asmodel

I don't believe love just goes away. And fretting over why people just stop loving someone usually boils down to people not knowing what true love is, so they don't know how to give it. Nor do they understand, it's a verb, a conscious CHOICE, and it's the only choice on the face of this planet that means anything at all. It's the foundation of your legacy and the gauge of the worth of the dash on your headstone. My dash will be epic. by essie

Credit to @chelseamayerphotography : Every single time I see a blue whale, I’m stunned by their enormity. The massive head that breaks the surface is followed, seemingly endlessly, by foot after foot of glistening body; just when you think it can’t possibly be any longer, an almost comically tiny dorsal fin appears. At this point the animal usually slips out of sight, but if you’re lucky, you might get to see the world’s largest creature lift its tail right out of the water! Taken aboard @newpor by cara
