First Day Jitter Juice...Hawaiian Punch + Sprite (to serve after reading First Day Jitters)
Non-messy "Jitter Glitter" for first-day nerves. I didn't want sticky juice or messy glitter, so instead I use a decorated antibacterial hand gel that has the glittery-like beads, which magically disappear as kids rub their hands together. Read the book First Day Jitters, then give each kid a tiny squirt of this on their hands. (It also helps to keep germs at bay on the first day!) Too cute!!
This First Day Jitters packet is great to use, along with the book, on the first day and weeks of school. This back to school packet includes various activities to help you teach many of the Common Core Literature standards from day one.
Back to school activities including using the books The Kissing Hand and First Day Jitters.

Jitter juice - there is a cute poem that goes with this but I can't find it.
#ActofKindness, First Year #Teacher. A first year teacher, new in town, came over for dinner as a way for us to distract her from First Day of School Eve jitters. Dinner and flowers. A great act of kindness for a first year teacher. Teach kids to serve!
