Row J of the “Mothball Fleet,” a collection of 70 Victory, cargo, rescue, transport and tanker ships rusting and decaying in Suisun Bay, 30-miles northeast of San Francisco. Most of the ships have been here for decades, leaching toxic substances into the water. Although a few have historic value (like the famous battleship USS Iowa), most are in line to be scrapped.

Songjiang Hotel: The hotel is scheduled to open in late 2014 to early 2015.. Some years ago, a British engineering firm Atkins proposed an extravagant design for a five-star hotel located deep within a 100-meter, abandoned and half flooded pit near the base of Tianmashan Mountain in the Songjiang District of Shanghai. Construction on the 19-story, 380-room Shimao Intercontinental Hotel finally is finally underway, since March 2012 :)
