Chinatown (Chinese: 多倫多華埠) is an ethnic enclave in Downtown Toronto, Ontario, Canada, with a high concentration of ethnic Chinese residents and businesses extending along Dundas Street West and Spadina Avenue. First developed in the late 19th century, it is now one of the largest Chinatowns in North America and one of several major Chinese-Canadian communities in the Greater Toronto Area. There are approximately six Chinatowns in Greater Toronto.

Fort Ross, California. Fort Ross is a former Russian establishment on the west coast of North America in what is now Sonoma County, California, in the United States. It was the hub of the southernmost Russian settlements in North America between 1812 to 1842. It has been the subject of archaeological investigation, and is a California Historical Landmark, a National Historic Landmark, and on the National Register of Historic Places. It is part of California's Fort Ross State Historic Park.
The sensitively-named Trans-Allegheny Lunatic Asylum opened for business in 1864, the largest hand-cut stone masonry building in North America, possibly second the world after the Kremlin. It was designed following the Kirkbride plan to house 250 lost souls, and reached it's peak in the 1950's with 2,400 inmates--err--patients. The largest ethnic group are Portuguese and numbers of Portuguese storefronts are located along College and Dundas Streets, giving the area its name. There is a fine stock of mid-century homes.

Shafer's Schoolhouse Usually referred to as *Shafer's Schoolhouse*, this structure is reported to have been built during the 1820s and has also been the site of religious assemblies. Next to it is a small, almost-as-old cemetery.
