Promised myself I would post my results online to keep me motivated. So here it is. This summer (may) I was determined to look as fit as I felt. I was weighing in at 168, the worst shape and the biggest I have ever been. I told myself I would not hit 170 and to start getting my butt in gear. I started working out on my own at my school gym with @Nora Viveen and eventually found a personal trainer with my bestfriend #meganferguson. I ended up gaining weight a little bit while I was with him and realized it was too expensive to move forward when i saw no results. When July hit myself and megan thought we would try out Limitless Preformance (@limitlesspreformance kitchener ) as you probably know i am in love with this gym. We started going 3 times a week and even than I started see amazing results. I felt stronger, faster, thinner and healthier because I got excited to eat right and work out. In august when megan went off to school I started to become a regular. No matter what day I was at limitless. I felt like a family and it never felt like a chore to ever work out as hard as I did. I pushed myself and all the older guys too ;) I am currently weighing in at 148 and continuing to eat healthy and work out as much as I can. I know I'm not the skinniest but that wasn't my goal. I am proud of myself and my results. Thank you to everyone who supported me, pushed me, and didn't believe in me by Nina Maltese

Mini Samoa Bundt Cakes - I couldn’t believe my eyes when I saw the classic Samoa Girl Scout Cookie turned into a…mini bundt cake?! This is pure EVIL genius! How am I suppose to make these without eating them all in one sitting? I just adore toasted coconut and anything that it’s plastered on. Looks like I’ll be investing in a mini bundt cake pan very soon! You’ve got to go check out the recipe and baking instructions over at Tablespoon. These are a must try! by MSmiles

I offered dating advise to my friend the other day. Being she was a friend, I had thought she would have known of my good intentions; but she didn't. I wasn't rude, blunt or harsh... It hurts me to know how much she took my words out and warped them. I saw today on Facebook a "indirect" status about our conversation which was mean. I now learned, I have one less friend. by roxanne

My client dared me to make them sick with a gross zombie cake. So I did. No excuses just all out gross. Check out my profile and web link there for more great sculpted cakes. Those who know me best know that it’s never wise to ask me to pour them a drink when we’re out to dinner or to leave their valuables out when I’m on my way over. It’s not that I’m lazy or a petty thief, for that matter, but I am disastrously clumsy. So, as much as I love the picture wall look, and for as long as I’ve pined for a vintage plate collection to call my own, I had to come to terms with the idea that some things just aren’t meant to be…until, I saw this wallpaper from Netherlands-based Studio Ditte. The gorgeous print is inspired by antique blue tableware, offering yard upon yard of plates with intricate patterns and unique scenes. And the best part? It’s unbreakable, just like my resolve to make it mine. Soon. by istodor.serena

A FATHER'S LOVE: YOU ARE VALUABLE TO HIM! Often times we forget our worth and doubt ourselves. If we doubt ourselves are we doubting the very One who created us as well? What is the price of five sparrows-- two copper coins? Yet God DOES NOT FORGET a single one of them. And the very hairs on your head are all numbered. So don't be afraid, YOU ARE MORE VALUABLE to God than a whole flock of sparrows (Luke 12:6-7). You (God) watched me as I was being formed in utter seclusion, as I was woven together in the dark of the womb. You saw me before I was born. Everyday of my life was recorded in Your book. Every moment was laid out before a single day had passed. How precious are Your THOUGHTS about me, O God. They CANNOT be NUMBERED! I CAN'T even COUNT THEM; they OUTNUMBER the GRAINS of SAND! And when I wake up, you are STILL with me (Psalm 139:15-18). He knows the depths of our hearts! He loves us in spite of what we have done and said! But God showed his great love for us by sending Christ to die for us while we were still sinners (Romans 5:8). HE VALUES YOU! HE LOVES YOU! HE LOVES US IN SPITE OF YOUR PAST! AS LONG AS THERE IS BREATH IN YOUR BODY, IT IS NOT TOO LATE TO REPENT AND TURN TO JESUS CHRIST! WE CANNOT FATHOM THE LOVE HE HAS FOR US! How I grow my tomatoes: in the hole, put in sea mineral salt or epsom salt (2 tablespoons), 1/4-1/2 cup fish emulsion, potassium vitamins, calcium vitamins and one whole, ripe banana. Pinch off the bottom 3-5 branches and bury the plant up past the nubs from where you took the branches off. I also bury gallon jugs next to each one with small holes cut into the bottom side facing the plant roots. This is what I use to water them so that I know how much each plants gets. this is the earring/headband holder I made a few years ago. All I did was find a picture frame that I liked {I found a vintage inspired one at marshalls}, took out the glass and then staple gunned chicken wire to the back of the frame. {you have to cut the chicken wire to the specific measurments for your frame first} After I did that I gave a quick coat of vintage cream color to the frame and took some sandpaper and just kinda scratched up the frame a little to make it look worn, after that I took 2 strands of silk cream ribbon, about 12 inches long each -- double stranded them and made a pretty way for it to be hung, rather than just hanging on the wall; then I started hanging all of my dangly earrings in the wire, along with my headbands! There is quite a few more earrings in there now, compared to when this picture was taken though.. I love it! by queen

If you like ribs, you HAVE to try these. Buy the country style pork loin boneless ribs and a 2 liter of root beer. Don't forget the bbq sauce!!! Cut the ribs in two them put them in a cooker. Pour the root beer over them. Will only use half a 2 liter if you fix one pack, but will use almost whole bottle of you have two packs of ribs. I fixed two packs and poured enough root beer that it covered the ribs. Cook the ribs in root beer to a low boil for 45 mins. Then drain the ribs and put them in a zip lock bag. Salt and pepper the ribs and add your favorite bbq sauce. Shake it until all ribs are completely covered. Then put them in a skillet on medium-high heat for about 10 mins or until the bbq sauce has started to caramelize. Once they have caramelized, turn off heat and serve. The ribs are so tasty and tender!!! I fixed these for my little family tonight and they loved them!!! You will too :-) by Lillylee

DATE A GIRL WHO READS
by Rosemarie Urquico

Date a girl who reads. Date a girl who spends her money on books instead of clothes. She has problems with closet space because she has too many books. Date a girl who has a list of books she wants to read, who has had a library card since she was twelve.

Find a girl who reads. You’ll know that she does because she will always have an unread book in her bag. She’s the one lovingly looking over the shelves in the bookstore, the one who quietly cries out when she finds the book she wants. You see the weird chick sniffing the pages of an old book in a second hand book shop? That’s the reader. They can never resist smelling the pages, especially when they are yellow.

She’s the girl reading while waiting in that coffee shop down the street. If you take a peek at her mug, the non-dairy creamer is floating on top because she’s kind of engrossed already. Lost in a world of the author’s making. Sit down. She might give you a glare, as most girls who read do not like to be interrupted. Ask her if she likes the book.

Buy her another cup of coffee.

Let her know what you really think of Murakami. See if she got through the first chapter of Fellowship. Understand that if she says she understood James Joyce’s Ulysses she’s just saying that to sound intelligent. Ask her if she loves Alice or she would like to be Alice.

It’s easy to date a girl who reads. Give her books for her birthday, for Christmas and for anniversaries. Give her the gift of words, in poetry, in song. Give her Neruda, Pound, Sexton, Cummings. Let her know that you understand that words are love. Understand that she knows the difference between books and reality but by god, she’s going to try to make her life a little like her favorite book. It will never be your fault if she does.

She has to give it a shot somehow.

Lie to her. If she understands syntax, she will understand your need to lie. Behind words are other things: motivation, value, nuance, dialogue. It will not be the end of the world.

Fail her. Because a girl who reads knows that failure always leads up to the climax. Because girls who understand that all things will come to end. That you can always write a sequel. That you can begin again and again and still be the hero. That life is meant to have a villain or two.

Why be frightened of everything that you are not? Girls who read understand that people, like characters, develop. Except in the Twilight series.

If you find a girl who reads, keep her close. When you find her up at 2 AM clutching a book to her chest and weeping, make her a cup of tea and hold her. You may lose her for a couple of hours but she will always come back to you. She’ll talk as if the characters in the book are real, because for a while, they always are.

You will propose on a hot air balloon. Or during a rock concert. Or very casually next time she’s sick. Over Skype.

You will smile so hard you will wonder why your heart hasn’t burst and bled out all over your chest yet. You will write the story of your lives, have kids with strange names and even stranger tastes. She will introduce your children to the Cat in the Hat and Aslan, maybe in the same day. You will walk the winters of your old age together and she will recite Keats under her breath while you shake the snow off your boots.

Date a girl who reads because you deserve it. You deserve a girl who can give you the most colorful life imaginable. If you can only give her monotony, and stale hours and half-baked proposals, then you’re better off alone. If you want the world and the worlds beyond it, date a girl who reads.

Or better yet, date a girl who writes. by artsuneel

Homemade Laundry Detergent:: 1 Quart Boiling water 1 Bar Fels-Naptha soap finely grated 3 Cups borax 3 Cups washing soda 1 Gain scent booster 1 Liquid oxi clean stain fighter, I used the liquid refill bottle that you spray your stains with although the powder is fine to use also! 1 Large pail, bucket, etc. To hold the finished detergent.( I use a clear tub that has a lid and is a file container) Add 1 Quart water to medium sized pot, place on stove over med-high heat to bring to a boil. Meanwhile grate the bar of fels naptha soad onto a plate, set aside while water comes to a boil. In a large mixing bowl add 3 C. Borax, 3 C. Washing soda, half of the gain scent boosters, and half of the oxi clean. When water comes to a boil pour in the grated soap and stir until melted. When its conpletely melted pour the water/Soap mixture into the bowl with your other Ingredients and stir well to mix. Pour everything In the bowl into your large pail, bucket, container, or whatever your using to store It In. Then pour in 2 Gallons of hot water. Stir to mix it all up then your done! They say its best to let It sit 24 Hrs before using but ive broken this rule several times and It still works. I take my old laundry bottle and a funnel and pour It in to fill my bottle up. shake well before each use! This ensures that everything is mixed properly before use! I do this two times to use all of my gain and oxiclean and consider It one batch! Ive tried doubling It and doing It all at one time but it didnt turn out right at all so I broke it down into doing two batches. Apprx. 5 Gallons of detergent and use 1/4C per load. by Lola Rose

WHAT'S GOING ON? There is so much going on in the world today! Some things are so BIG and out of our control that we feel there is nothing we can do. Many who don't know Jesus Christ feel that He has deserted us. That He doesn't exist because what kind of "god" would allow such chaos and confusion. BUT we know that Jesus Christ does exist and there is power in His name! There IS something that we can do...PRAY! PRAYER is a powerful weapon! The apostle Paul wrote, “For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war according to the flesh. For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds, casting down arguments and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ” (2 Cor. 10:3-5). We are to pray against these things going on today, it is written that things will get worse HOWEVER... THERE IS POWER WHEN CHRISTIANS UNITE AND PRAY AGAINST THE ENEMY! Even when the storms rage against us we are to be firmly planted in Him so that we do not fall. We are to be UNMOVABLE, UNSHAKABLE, STEADFAST in Him! Psalm 50:15 says, Then call on Me when you are in trouble, and I will rescue you,  and you will give Me glory.” We have to know that certain things are allowed to take place but God has NOT forgotten us! This is our time to prepare for battle! Suit up in the Armor of God! For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand. Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place, and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace. In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the Lord’s people (Ephesians 6:12-18). We must strengthen our foundation and trust that no matter what is going on in our country or around the world GOD IS IN CONTROL! Spread the love of Jesus Christ with someone today! Show them how to Repent and pray. Strengthen your walk with Christ! Help someone else establish a walk with Him! We know that the enemy comes to steal, kill, and destroy BUT what a MIGHTY GOD WE SERVE!
