I love the idea of shipping container houses. We've talked about using a bunch of these to build a family compound when we get to work on our vacation property. A pod for us, a pod for Mom, a pod for Danny, a pod for Katy, a pod for a kitchen... and so on and so on.
Window Cleaner: ¼ cup vinegar, ½ teaspoon natural liquid soap, 2 cups water. Put all ingredients in a spray bottle and shake to blend. To use the cleaner, spray onto the glass, covering as much as you can finish wiping in a few minutes at a time, scrub as needed with the rough side of a kitchen sponge, and squeegee off. Use a cotton cleaning cloth to dry off the blade of the squeegee between swipes.
How to build a bench. Exactly what I want to build for the foot of our bed. I'm thinking that the fabric I use for the headboard should coordinate, not match, with the fabric for the bench.

A shelf over the windows instead of a valance? Colorful Nook A splash of cool colors and the addition of furniture turned a butler's pantry into this vibrant breakfast nook. The table and banquette bench were custom-built to match the homeowners' kitchen chairs. The room's accessories -- spoons, pitchers, and plates -- add cottage touches. This is delightful, so quaint, and natural...
A few notes for my kitchen makeover... they did a DIY custom range hood. They put strair balusters on either side of the stove for a custom look. And the storage space over the fridge - an idea for where our ugly wine rack is now.
I like the idea here - we could make signs that say the same thing, and there's a road with a really pretty background of mountains at the venue. Perfect! :) lovelove this idea! <3
Playing around with CAbi's Tucked Tunic a little bit. This is such a perfect piece for layering under the shorter jackets - remember I talked about that a few posts back? And then those of you who have not yet taken a look at our Hourglass Sweatshirt, you should really act fast. This is such a fabulous piece and now that the weather has turned a bit here on the west coast, this one is going fast. Paired here with our Ink Ruby Jeans.
We could totally make a little nook/hideaway under our basement stairs. (after we finish it, and make it un-scary, and get rid of the monster that I swear currently resides under the stairs)
For the Home Office
