We have a small entry way, so I like this idea & I would put shoes in the baskets. So sick of flip/flops & kid shoes just laying around. Hmm...maybe in a few years when I have money set aside for our kitchen. (cuz our entryway is in the kitchen)
Window Cleaner: ¼ cup vinegar, ½ teaspoon natural liquid soap, 2 cups water. Put all ingredients in a spray bottle and shake to blend. To use the cleaner, spray onto the glass, covering as much as you can finish wiping in a few minutes at a time, scrub as needed with the rough side of a kitchen sponge, and squeegee off. Use a cotton cleaning cloth to dry off the blade of the squeegee between swipes.
Neutral Palette in kitchen, Love the pairing of this vintage oak florist's table with weathered oak benches in this breakfast nook.
I love the idea of shipping container houses. We've talked about using a bunch of these to build a family compound when we get to work on our vacation property. A pod for us, a pod for Mom, a pod for Danny, a pod for Katy, a pod for a kitchen... and so on and so on.
smart idea for a dining table in a small space - storage benches as chairs. Check out the rest of this tour of a colorful Austin home!
How to build a bench. Exactly what I want to build for the foot of our bed. I'm thinking that the fabric I use for the headboard should coordinate, not match, with the fabric for the bench.

A few notes for my kitchen makeover... they did a DIY custom range hood. They put strair balusters on either side of the stove for a custom look. And the storage space over the fridge - an idea for where our ugly wine rack is now.

HGTV Tips for Turning Your Small Kitchen Into an Eat-In One Banquettes needn't be L-shaped to save space. The configuration of this kitchen by designer Marika Meyer better lent itself to a restaurant-style booth with benches facing each other, providing seating for four without blocking the window. Storage above and below the benches makes the most of this small space.
Playing around with CAbi's Tucked Tunic a little bit. This is such a perfect piece for layering under the shorter jackets - remember I talked about that a few posts back? And then those of you who have not yet taken a look at our Hourglass Sweatshirt, you should really act fast. This is such a fabulous piece and now that the weather has turned a bit here on the west coast, this one is going fast. Paired here with our Ink Ruby Jeans.
Breakfast nook idea. I love this. But I would change the black chairs for maybe a light yellow or white . Definitely doing this in our new place.
The Home of My Dreams
We could totally make a little nook/hideaway under our basement stairs. (after we finish it, and make it un-scary, and get rid of the monster that I swear currently resides under the stairs)
For the Home Office
I like the idea of a little bench with some extra shelving in my nook area. Place a cute round table in front
