Make in powerpoint using Wordart. The font is grobold. Put one per page and blow them up to take up the whole page. Use the wordart that is outline only so it will be blank in the middle. Once you have the name typed and on the page, you can format (or it might say edit) the wordart....that's where you can make the outline thicker. by debra

i soooooo want to do one of these! this was one of the 39-squares projects. the idea is that you embroider a square for each year of your life. in other words... whatever your age is at the time you make yours... sometimes you have to use rectangles that take up 2 or 3 squres to make it come out right by Jinx62

Reward/Incentive Idea~ This bucket of Dum Dums can be used to reward students for reading milestones, good citizenship, or whatever goals you set. The twist it that some of them have a black dot on the base of the stem. Students who select these earn a special, extra reward such as an eraser, being line leader for the whole next day, or whatever privileges you choose. This is a great way to ramp up whatever incentive program you may already by MOSCARDO

Not a quilt pattern, but a pattern on how to make your ironing board larger. You can make this and put it on your own reg. size ironing board and then you'll have a wonderful area to iron large quilt backs or just to have more room. It only sets on your ironing board so it's easy to take off and set aside if you need to iron a shirt or something like that. by Seradwen

Make constellations in a tube. I actually do this a lot when we have a spare tube for my kids and for my former daycare I would take dark construction paper scraps and just put it around roughly flat and use a pin to push in the outline of whatever the kids wanted...Great reward. They love it. Or you can, as I did for the older kids, let them select the constellation and I would punch it in. Great cheap activity to WOW any child. by Sandy May Jones

I love the idea of what she did here, for a looser and greater looking bun - take already curled / waved hair, do a low messy bun, and then take pieces of the sides and pin them up leaving little pieces of curls or waves out. This looks so pretty, and you don't have to worry about having to do your hair again later if it gets messy, because it already is! (Don't you love that?) by Ashton Wait

Influencing and persuading others is something that we all have to do at one time or another. It might be very simple things like getting your children to do their homework without a struggle or asking your partner to do the washing up, or it could me more complex situations like persuading a business colleague to support a proposal or a customer to make a purchase. Whatever the situation may be, we would all like to be more influential and persuasive, but how? Scientists that have studied the persuasion process for over 60 years have discovered that the more traditional approaches that we typically rely on to influence others such as informing or incentivising people to change, are in many cases, ineffective. It has been found in studies by social psychologists, behavioural economists and neuroscientists that people are much more likely to be influenced not by the request that you make, but rather small changes to how you might frame your proposal. Three highly respected authorities in the field of persuasion science, Dr Robert Cialdini, Noah Goldstein and Steve Martin, conducted a series of studies into the persuasion process and in particular how the smallest changes can make the biggest influence. Some of the results that they obtained during the research revealed truly staggering results. Some of these amazing examples are highlighted in this interesting and informative infographic by Virtual VIP. by vibrantyouthe4
