DIY zebra rug. I'm a zebra freak and this is SO going in my house somewhere! Total cost was only $119??? Wha??
House of Ideas
Because I am a Disney freak I have to have this somewhere in my house!
So my Dad is going to build a seating area like this in my kitchen, I'm going to use my Mom's old round dining room table (it's pretty old school with claw feet and all) and then I was thinking ghost chairs like this... with less color. I don't like bright colors for my house
I need this on a shirt, on a poster, or tattooed somewhere on my person. It is how I feel at some point every. single. day. There are only so many words I can listen to, and then, I'm done.
I have a theory on why rich people are thin, it's not only that they can afford better, healthier food - but that their homes are so large they get a lot of exercise just going to the bathroom. For instance this house is 40, 50 yards from living room to bath....in my house it is 8 or 9 steps....no wonder I'm fat... :-)
I love this quote. Think I'm going to put it on a wooden sign somewhere in the house as a constant reminder.
its such BS that these awesome old phones are incredibly expensive to buy these days. I've been to many antique stores and 70's phones are going for over 50bucks! they didn't cost that much brand new! BUT regardless, i'm going to get one, and going to purchase a landline for my house, just so this can be on display
My first hanging sleeve. I followed a tutorial from Fons and Porter. The only change I made was I only used a 6" wide piece of fabric, since I knew my dowel was skinny. (They recommend 8 1/2" so you end up with a 4" wide sleeve). I'm going to try to pin the link to the tutorial in my quilt projects board.
Tickling Palates: Paneer Tawa Masala. I'm posting this to my vegan board because this gravy is so delicious. I'm going to spice and roast tofu instead of paneer. Honestly, I would eat a shoe if it was sitting in this gravy.
teriyaki chicken casserole was a total accident and now total favorite in our house! Love this recipe! ohsweetbasil_edited-1
Quilts I Love
Love this PB Teen Knock Off Wall art! It is so colorful and a simple diy. Perfect to add to my bedroom ideas for my home decor. It cost only $4!!!
For the House
I have ALWAYS taught this to my children, and my son was BLESSED to marry his first true childhood love <3- THAT is a gift from God! I now pray nightly for my daughters future husband- she is only 13, but he is out there somewhere, and I want him safe so he will one day keep my girl safe. Never too soon to pray for your childs spouse....
So in a past issue of InStyle magazine, there was an article about Joel McHale's house. This is his fabulous living room, apparently his wife is a chic interior designer. Who knew? High points for me- wallpapered ceiling, zebra rug.
I love everything about this picture. I want this blown up on a canvas and put in my house somewhere
So, if I am moving to Texas, shouldn't I need a cow picture somewhere in my house?! I like this one is a tad funky...MOO baby!
DIY COFFEE CELLULITE SCRUB - I love natural, organic skincare and I drink way too much coffee so this coffee ground cellulite scrub is going to become a beauty staple in my house! I like that all the ingredients in this recipe from PAULA PARRISH' blog are common pantry staples so it's easy to make on a whim. #CoffeecelluliteScrub #NaturalBeauty
This is a GREAT list for our house. I'm totally surprised at how easy the daily habits are, they're so simple! I definitely think this is going to help us be more organized and have a more tidy home.
I'm definitely going to make this this weekend! Only I'm going in search of earth tones and brassy metals.
When I have time...
Oh my goodness this is so cool! My doll house was a shack compared to this :)
underground fire pit. Only cost $42 to make!! Ooo I'm loving this idea for my house!!
cherry pineapple dump cake--- This was good. It's my first dump cake and it was very easy. It's a bit sweet for my taste so I think I'm going to try canned peaches instead next time.
fairy wings diy: I just made these (in pink); they are so stinkin' cute! It took me less than a day (with a toddler and a 6 month old both needing my attention), and only cost about $4 total (I bought the fabric on sale)
Richie told me that these dog booties come from IKEA - so I went and bought some! I'm going to DIY a version of this. Another funny note - on my receipt, the leash holder is called "hook ass" ;-)
I choose this beautiful blue for my headboard. It's suede so soft and beautiful. I'm going to use this Toile in my room as an accent, I'm also going to grab the background color for my walls.
This was a fun DIY project. I don't have a hall closet on my first floor. So this was my solution. Goodwill frames and some left over fabric with a hook screwed into the wall is all you need!
