and the little that we have, is little according to us, in our world, our culture. for many, the little we have, would astound them if it were theirs. we often -- this includes me -- fail to remember that. and tell ourselves a story about how hard our lives are ... and our hard lives, are a dream come true to most people in this world. i'm not sure why it's so hard to remember this, to realize, understand this. and live from that place every day. but something in us makes it very difficult. by estela

Owning our story can be hard but not nearly as difficult as spending our lives running from it. Embracing our vulnerabilities is risky but not nearly as dangerous as giving up on love and belonging and joy—the experiences that make us the most vulnerable. Only when we are brave enough to explore the darkness will we discover the infinite power of our light. - Brene Brown by proteamundi

I hate when parents only yell at their kids for what they do wrong. I discourage yelling in our home. Kids listen better to talking it out. Praising them for what they do well is just as important. I can't image how some kids home lives can be. I'm so glad we get to be my boys parent's. They won't grow up in a home filled with arguing. by sonja

We must fully embrace the Holy Spirit changing our hearts towards sin and demons we allowed in our lives and when we were lost we willing indulged in and enjoyed. But now that we truly have the rebirth of Gods Spirit living within us we are new creations and a distaste for our old ways. This doesn't mean that our flesh doesn't still enjoy going back to our old ways we must be rooted in God daily to resist the temptations of our flesh. When I first understood how much my Jesus loves me it crushed me. Not crushed me as in I was devastated, but crushed as in amazed, humbled, thankful, and totally overwhelmed. Talking about health — especially as we age — can be tough. It’s so tough I had a difficult time researching the statistics for various diseases. But I came to realize that knowledge is power, especially when it comes to our health. Many of us have difficult stories. So many of us have difficult pasts, challenging childhoods, and a unfathomable amount of heart break. The amount of love we can give is quite literally endless. And we who have had those difficult lives know how important and necessary it is to give love because the lack of it lead to so much trauma within us. So give that love, be that love. #love #poetry #quote #inspiration #poet #quotes #yoga #runelazuli by eleanor

Project Life is a great way to document your life over the course of a year. The concept is to fill divided page protectors with photos and journaling to give an overview of a week in a double spread. It's easy to forget important things in our lives. With all of our modern day abilities to capture moments, cementing digital memories and sharing them with the world, we can still wander into forgetfulness. Forgetfulness happens in life, but it also happens in love. If we’re not careful, a marriage can drift apart, not because of unfaithfulness, but because of forgetfulness. Husbands, remember to honor your wife. That is what she really needs. by LiveLoveLaughMyLife

The past few days have been extremely overwhelming for me. As a budding entrepreneur it seems I have a never ending to-do list. I have found recently that my OWN self care has been slipping. And that makes me feel guilty and out of integrity. Because I teach self care. I preach the benefits of it. I need to remind myself from time to time to listen to my own advice. . Those of us who are super sensitive empaths tend to be very outward focused. We are always scanning our environment feeling into peoples moods and energies. We are also natural born people pleasers. We LOVE to help other. Which is a beautiful thing. But it can become harmful to us when we feel guilty saying no. We feel if we say no to someone or an event or project that we are letting someone down disappointing them or worse- making them angry. We often feel that their reaction is our responsibility. And so we put ourselves last time and time again. We say yes over and over until we are completely drained exhausted and resentful. . But no is NOT A BAD WORD. No is a self-loving self-respecting responsible mature and often times kind word. We have to start asking ourselves why we always fall to the end of the line. Why we are so worried about disappointing others- but what about disappointing ourselves? I often ask my clients who are struggling to say no what would you say to a friend in this situation. Because the answer is almost always that the friend should stand up for and care for her energetic needs. So then why is it that YOU do not deserve the same is my next question. . You deserve to say no. You deserve to stand up and to take care of you. You are important and needed in this world. But if you dont give yourself the love you so freely give to others you will be stuck in a cycle of overwhelm turmoil and exhaustion. . Join me on January 26th for a potent conversation on how to care for yourself as a sensitive soul in this world. This powerful workshop is FREE and will ignite you on your path to re-connecting to the beautiful truth of who you are and to working on setting boundaries and practicing the magical word no. .
