True story. I had an IT guy come do some work on my office laptop and when he saw Dave on my wallpaper started spewing hate about him. I almost kicked him in the nuts and punched him in the throat.
Darryl Hannah “I was 11 and on a road trip with my family. I saw a truck with some baby calves on it and for about an hour I petted and kissed this one calf and he was kissing me. This man came up and I said, ‘Excuse me Sir, what’s this calf’s name?’ and he just said, ‘Veal, tomorrow morning at seven.’ ” “That was it. I could no longer disassociate the meal on the plate from the creature it had been.”
"Another activity we began doing this school year was "nature frames". I saw this idea when visiting a Reggio exhibit in Monterey in the fall. Simply place some old picture frames, without the glass or the back insert, on a flat surface. We then encouraged the children to collect nature items and arrange them within the frame. The kids had a blast collecting and arranging. It was a group activity so they had to all agree how it was to look."
New Year Cascarones I saw this brilliant idea on Rachael Ray the other day and knew I had to do it for my kids and friends with kids, for new years! (Full instructions are on my blog: mindypitcher.blogspot.com.) I wanted them to have some fun packaging and that is where Nisa and her incredible creations come in.

How do Readers know when to stop and jot? Nice image of an anchor chart on this topic. - My students often had confusion when it came to making their own annotations. Ideas! -JV
My version (17) - When I saw this on Pinterest I had to add it to my husband's 50th birthday board and then made it with 50 memories of our life together. So glad I did. He really appreciated it. #traceyvanlent
Great for Thanksgiving. The film "I Am". Watch free. Amazing conversation starter for the classroom on a rainy day. It is my experience that students LOVE to go deep. Well, this is as deep as it gets. The true story of a big Hollywood producer who had an accident, suffered from depression, and then got "over it" with a whole new outlook on what life is all about. All about culture, what we believe is important, being kind and tolerant with each other. WOW. Life changing. Teach kids to care.
I saw this before I signed in. I seriously had my legs crossed and my left hand on my face when I read this! LOL!
Side yard idea. Or personal alley space - wish I had thought of this when I lived on Moyamunseng in Philly! I had an alley just this size...that no one used and no one else saw except my two fellow peeps in the two apts below me...who would have loved it!
This is a true story of Mother’ s Sacrifice during the Japan Earthquake. After the Earthquake had subsided, when the rescuers reached the ruins of a young woman’s house, they saw her dead body through the cracks. But her pose was somehow strange that she knelt on her knees like a person was worshiping; her body was leaning forward, and her two hands were supporting by an object. The collapsed house had crashed her back and her head. With so many
This is a very clever print ad. In my opinion what makes an ad interesting to look at is the way they tell the story. For this one, Levi's has come out with a jean that is similar to a guy's but now has a fit available for women. When I first looked at this picture, I thought she was in the same pair as he was. And then when I looked closer, I saw that she has her own pair on and she is just as big as one of his legs. It was very clever to me. #M2350
Yeshi was practicing her Tibetan script on a painted board in this small village school. I was amazed by the quality of her work. It was like some of the finest caligraphy I had seen. Her teacher was a Tibetan who had been educated in a Chinese run university. My interperter told me that eventhough the Tibetan language was being taught the content of all their books on history and Tibetan culture were written from a Chinese perspective.
I bought one for $50 from an ad in the paper, and it was the best washer ever! also conserved on water as we were on a well! invaluable tool this was, esp when it came to cloth diapers!
I wish I had thought of this when my kids were little! They would have loved it and I would have loved making them! Story Stones... what a "novel" idea! (THAT slogan is all mine!!!) -kris
This is Zoe. She was a teen mom after a were wolf (four years older) had a child with her. He left when he found out. On a full moon one night, he came back apologize. She refused, making him furious and he attacked her. By coincidence, and what Zoe believes fate, an agent was nearby to bring her to the agency for treatment. She gave birth right after. Her daughter was a were wolf as well, so Zoe had a print of her daughters paw tattooed behind her ear. She is in her 20s now, in the story.
Love this card! using Botanical gardens, Saw it on Stampin school and had to try it!

Say It With A Card
This is gold people! I love this stuff. I first saw it on Pinterest and then read up on it. I cannot say how beautiful my skin looks and feels! Amazing! I now have four others hooked on it. When I laid out for the first time this summer I used this as my tanning oil and I had a beautiful, brown tan on the first day!! I am 44 and was starting to get creepy skin and creases on my chest, they are almost gone! I have only been using two weeks.

Wish I had thought of this when my kids were growing up, maybe grandchildren some day:) Stepping stones with children's hands or foot prints is a nice way of allowing your kids to feel involved and leave their own mark on your garden as well as providing a small snapshot in time for you to remember and enjoy. @Amanda Cascarano
This was my mantra when I taught middle school art classes. Imparting courage in small, daily doses - nothing better.
Kittenstache I have had this as my phone background for months and i still haven't found something cute enough to replace it.
I bought a dress similar to this when in Portland on vacation. Mine has less of a swag on the skirt. I thought I might wear it to my Office Christmas Party. Maybe add some bling - rhinestone and/or gold jewelry and dressier shoes, probably nude. I need to be dressy but not inappropriately sexy. It is to be an office function, after all.
My friend came to our yearly reunion in Colorado and came downstairs after a night of drinking wearing on of these with the back flap down and I still die laughing when I think about how awesome it was.
OKAY I HAVE A STORY. SO I PLAYED THE MOCKINGJAY TUNE ON MY VIOLIN IN MY SCHOOL BAND (yeah I'm a violin in band( AND I TAUGHT MY FRIEND HOW TO DO IT ON FLUTE AND MY OTHER FRIEND ON CLARINET AND MY FRIEND ON TRUMPET WHO TAUGHT THE OTHER TRUMPETS
