The Buddhist teaching of oneness of life and its environment tells us that humanity and the natural world are one. That is why if we wish to protect the environment, we must transform and purify the three poisons - greed, anger and foolishness - that exist in people's lives. The principle of human revolution focuses on precisely that: inner transformation at the most fundamental level. ~Daisaku Ikeda, Buddhism Day By Day by Hercio Dias

"A Promise" | Loch Lomond, Scotland • "An early morning drive around Loch Lomond revealed a glimpse of the incredible beauty of the region. Coupled with a blood red sunrise and low lying mist, I wished that if there were only more time, I would be able to capture some more of its genteel landscapes. Instead, armed with a map, it was all guess work and a targeted approach in trying to find a location to best make the most of the sunrise. I’m happy to say that on this occasion it was a fruitful mission and we managed to enjoy two wonderful locations during our final landscape shoot of the trip. How often do we seem to experience great light and locations as soon as home beckons? Even the drive down from Ullapool was an exercise in frustration. All the mountains along the route were now covered in snow, the fire grasses thick with frost, the lakes giving off mirror like reflections, and the light glorious. Unfortunately, it was not possible to stop along the way and these beauties had to be experienced without a camera in hand. At the end of the day, I believe this is as it should be. Scotland showing itself at its best, teasing me, making me promise that I should return one day to deepen those scratches that I have made on its surface." by Kah Kit Yoong via 500px.com by jewell

Do remember getting to know yourself in the mirror when you were a kid? I do, standing on the livingroom sofa, just like this little girl. I loved looking at myself. No selfies in those days! But the truth is it is wholesome and normal to want to spend time looking at ourselves! So don't be surprised to find your little one looking in a mirror! Don't make fun of her, rather compliiment her and walk away. This is her personal time! by Catherine1

#3. Bali is a small island in Indonesia, a magical place, known worldwide due to its rich culture and mesmerizing landscapes. This is probably why these incredible hanging pools from  Ubud Hanging Gardens Hotel made our list at number one. The most striking of the hotel’s design features is a large, multi-leveled infinity pool, with curves that are said to copy the shape and beauty of the hills nearby. by irma

Remember the days of the sock bun? You literally couldn’t go anywhere without seeing at least one giant, perfectly sculpted sock bun bobbing around on someone’s head – I think most of us actually depleted our sock collection because we were using them in our hair. Well, those days are long gone. No longer do you have to try to maneuver a sock or hair doughnut onto your head and attempt to make it look natural, because sock buns are no longer ~*trendy*~. by graciela
