Crystalline Turquoise Lake, Jiuzhaigou National Park, China (for Mom!) The park is located within a valley situated amongst the Min Mountains standing by the side of the Tibetan Plateau at a height of 2,000 to 4,5000 metres. The things that make the valley so picturesque are its waterfalls which flow in multiple layer, the Crystalline Turquoise Lake, and the peaks which during winters get covered with snow. Named a UNESCO World Heritage site in 1992 and a World Biosphere Reserve in 1997.
Multnomah Falls is a waterfall on the Oregon side of the Columbia River Gorge, located east of Troutdale, between Corbett and Dodson, along the Historic Columbia River Highway. The total height of the waterfall is conventionally given as 620 feet. Multnomah Falls is the tallest waterfall in the State of Oregon. It is credited by a sign at the site of the falls, and by the United States Forest Service, as the second tallest year-round waterfall in the United States.
