This sweater looks really cute. I'm not a fan of the distressing on the jeans but I like the wash. The shoes are not my style at all but I think I could find something that would work.
"Your letters come like balm on the heart. I really think I must do what I never have done - try to keep them. I’ve never kept a single letter all my life - but this romantic friendship ought to be preserved. Very few people have any feelings to express - at least of affection of sympathy - and if those that do feel don’t express - the world’s so much more like a burnt out moon - cold living and distant." ~ Virginia Woolf [T. Walker, 2000].
Custom Carved Deer Door....doors like this on my dream log cabin home. At this price I could choose my nature with animal scene. I really like the stain glass work on this one. Animals I would have to think a little. Depends on where the log cabin would be for choice of what animal. Going towards foxes now.
Oh the places you'll go
Girl reading, 1920s. French postcard photograph. Photograph by Pisa, # 450. Can't work out if this is an extremely well done backdrop or wonderful control over depth of field. She is so sharp and the background so soft. At first I thought I could see the edge of the backdrop just behind the chair but I think that line might be the far edge of the rug underneath her chair. Thoughts?
PHOTOS OF PEOPLE: FAMOUS OR OTHERWISE
see now someone would think that this was creative... but I feel like if I lived in a house full of men, there would be a chalkboard hanging in the bathroom so that they could all keep score... and I'd be the mother stuck cleaning up the mess!!
When I have time...
Hide Away Secret Compartments - Once all of the remodeling is done to my dream craft room in our old attic, it is time to move onto adding storage. Since the "walls" (roof line) all slant down to the floor, I think adapting an idea like this to at least a part of the room would be perfect !
Definitely not a fan of the purple but I think if done right, this could be the perfect space saving solution for the library/office area. :) Gonna do this but in black or hmmm... maybe red. I don't know, colored furniture makes me nervous! lol I need TWO wooden coffee tables and a desk like this I'm gonna saw the tables in half to make the shelves.
Fun sticks -- What a great idea. I think it could be adapted to use for all the "I'm Done" times.
Sesame noodles: Think this could work at a campsite. Toss all flavors together at home, just cook the noodles and add the rest!
My Style Pinboard
Oh, how much work could I get done if I had a home office that looked like this? **sigh**
If I could get a shirt like this made; if i was prego. I could be like " this little tigger is going to be bouncing around in no time at all!" and austin could dress like winnie the pooh!
Called to Serve Mission Checklist... I've heard suggestions for a girl's version as well that could include mission or temple marriage at the bottom. I think this would be a good incentive to work toward those goals -- we might have a few more Eagle Scouts around here if I'd had these for each of my kids..djg
"I like to think that one day after I die, at least one small particle of me - of all the particles that will spread everywhere - will float all the way to Neverland, and be part of a flower or something like that, like that poet said, the one that your Tik Tok loved."
Ever struggle with how to fit in all the different types of word work that need to be done? Me too! Come see what I am trying this year at Forever in Fifth Grade.
The Look Book
I like how she marks completed tasks. Instead of using a check mark, she fills in the bullet. This allows her to half fill in the boxes of tasks she has worked on, but not completed. I have been feeling a little demoralized by boxes remaining unchecked even though I've spent sometimes hours working on a task. I thought about returning to adding tasks back to the end of the list if I have done any kind of work on them at all, but that can get tedious. This might be a good compromise.
This would be great in a family room or play room. Looks like 1" x 4" or 1" x 6" pieces of wood. Could get them all cut to size at the lumber store or Home Depot. Take them home, sand them, primary them up and paint away with craft paint. :) DONE!
home is where the heart is.
There is something so warm and inviting about this white kitchen, think it could be the pretty pleated shade fixtures, like that look a lot!...
Because I…I am the monster parents tell their children about at night? Alone is what I have. >> Am I cursed? What am I? The casket wasn't the only thing you took from 221B that night was it? You could have told me what I was from the beginning! Why didn't you! I may be on side of the angels...but do not think for a second that I am one of them! Is it madness? Is it! It was all a trick. I was trying to impress you. I could have done it
I love that pole fitness has been enjoying more mainstream success lately. It's like all of a sudden people realized how athletic you have to be in order to do any kind of pole work at all. Look at this girl and tell me she is NOT fit as a fiddle--and if you don't think so, I dare you to try this move for yourself!
❥I think she is pondering something. Maybe the meaning of Christmas or 'is that all I got was a Teddy Bear?" Love this photo. So many things she could be thinking.
Number Playdough Mats with Ten Frames (from A Differentiated Kindergarten) This seems like a really fun activity that could be used for math during community workers unit. If you use different community workers cars for different numbers and make each of them fun to look at and interesting to the students. Plus what kids kindergarten aged wouldn't love to work with playdough.
I love the comfy warm look of this outfit. Could get a lot of work done in this. :)
I put an absent folder on my absent student's desk. The students at their table will make sure they get all of the work we do that day put in their folder. I do check their folder at the end of the day and make sure there are not tests or activities that can only be done whole class. Then, when that student returns the next day, they put their folder in their backpack. The instructions to the parents are on the folder.
This bathroom seriously needs better lighting - you have to actually look pretty hard not to think this is totally dingy. I love the double vanity and the large walk-in shower, but the stained glass doesn't work for me at all since it clashes with the style. Still, with a few tweaks this could be an amazing bathroom.
words of wisdom.
