Mod Podge. Love the stuff, but after a while it can get quite expensive. So for years now I’ve used Elmer's School Glue. I buy it by the gallon and make up the Mod Podge recipe as I need it in a mason jar. Just add half water, half Elmer's glue, replace the lid, shake it up and you’re ready to go. If you need it thicker, use less water! My preferred rate of dilution is 3/4 Glue, 1/4 water. by virgie

How to make encharmed waters. 1. Write charm, word or sigil with watercolor pencil. 2. Place it into water while praying, chanting, spinning in circles and drooling on yourself, or whatever else does it for you. 3. Once the majority of pigment has run off into the water use it to dress objects, anoint people, sprinkle about a place, add to baths, floor washes, or to the laundry water; or (provided they’re non-toxic) infuse it with herbs to make a potion. by laurel

Shape- the use of regular squares and rectangles overlapping one another in a conformed manner creates an image of a bustling NYC street. The bustling effect comes from the intense overlapping of the shapes- it also adds the effect that the buildings are being built/put together. The darker shapes give the piece depth and from a distance, dimension. by cindy

i soooooo want to do one of these! this was one of the 39-squares projects. the idea is that you embroider a square for each year of your life. in other words... whatever your age is at the time you make yours... sometimes you have to use rectangles that take up 2 or 3 squres to make it come out right by rosalind
