"I created this prop from sculpey, rubber, and a various pocket watch parts. The prop is fully adjustable and flexible and I lined the inside part with suede leather for comfort."
Chris Evans...aka Captain America. This is why I love superheroes. It looks like one of his tattoos is a rune from The Mortal Instruments...

Chanunpa, The Peace Pipe: Chanupa, is the Sioux language name for the sacred, ceremonial pipe and the ceremony in which it is used. The Chanunpa is one means of conveying prayers to the Creator and the other sacred beings. The various parts of the pipe have symbolic meanings. Lakota tradition has it that White Buffalo Calf Woman brought the Chanunpa to the people, to serve as a sacred bridge between this world and Wakan Tanka, the "Great Mystery"

The Sultan's Elephant was a show created by the Royal de Luxe theatre company, involving a huge moving mechanical elephant, a giant marionette of a girl and other associated public art installations. In French it was called La visite du sultan des Indes sur son éléphant à voyager dans le temps (literally, "Visit From The Sultan Of The Indies On His Time-Travelling Elephant"). The show was commissioned to commemorate the centenary of Jules Verne's death, by the two French cities of Nantes and Amiens, funded by a special grant from the French Ministry of Culture and Communication. The show was performed at various locations around the world between 2005 and 2006.

easy lap quilt by tcockburn2002, via Flickr I cut 10 x 5 rectangles from various red fabrics, created blocks using two different red panels, and then did a fence row-esque pattern, alternating vertical and horizontal placement. Simple straightline quilting and used strips of reds for my binding. Used a bedsheet for the backing in a nice grey.

Favourite Places and Spaces
One of my favorite pieces I made for their wedding was this textile that hung over a fireplace during the reception. The bride and groom (Anne and Shane) are pictured above holding it’s edges. Anne & Shane collected photos of both of their families and I created silhouettes of each family member from the photos, essentially making a pictorial family tree.
