Elie Wiesel—2006 After Oprah chose the Nazi death camp survival story Night by Elie Wiesel for her Book Club, she and the legendary author and humanitarian visited the Auschwitz-Birkenau State Museum in Poland. Inside one of the barracks at the prison, Professor Wiesel told Oprah about his memories of those who died here. "When I come here, I'm not really alone. I'm with you, but I'm not only with you," he said. "They are around us. ... I think
My ears are probably not big enough for this but I wish I had considered it when I got the top hole done years ago.
Mom told me this quote yesterday when I told her that I might not want to tryout for cheer next year because or the girls on the team...
A dear friend of mine was my trainer for a half marathon about 9 years ago..I was not a runner prior to this. After we finished the race she asked if i was ready to start running again on Monday. I kindly told her that the only running i would ever do again would be to play with my kids or if something really big was chasing me.
King said in an interview that this photograph was taken as he tried to explain to his daughter Yolanda why she could not go to Funtown, a whites-only amusement park in Atlanta. King claims to have been tongue-tied when speaking to her. “One of the most painful experiences I have ever faced was to see her tears when I told her Funtown was closed to colored children, for I realized the first dark cloud of inferiority had floated into her little mental sky.”
Jigme and Sonam are sisters whose nomadic family had just come down from the Himalayan highlands to their 16,500 ft. winter camp on the Tibetan Plateau. When I gave Jigme a Polaroid of herself she looked at it, squealed and ran into her tent. I assumed that this was one of the only times she had seen herself since her family did not own a mirror. Jigme means 'fearless' and Sonam means 'merit'. Very appropriate names for these kids!
I used to love looking for unusual camping gear! If only I saw this years ago when we had the pop up. A dishwashing station...Sue 2013
I'd so wear this.
Following graduation a father handed his daughter a bag with a copy of "Oh the Places You'll Go," by Dr Seuss in it. At first she just smiled and said that she loved that book. But he told her "No, open it up." ...On the first page she saw a short paragraph written by her kindergarten teacher. He told her "Every year, for the past 13 years, since the day you started kindergarten I've gotten every teacher, coach and principal to write a little something about you inside this book."
Neat ideas for the home
My mom is 91 years old now, but through the years, when I was a kid, the best thing about Thanksgiving was the stuffing. Hers was the best I ever ate. Loaded with flavor and completely delicious. When I got married and started my own family, I made sure I had this recipe in my recipe box. I've used it all my life.
The owner of this account has now left the earth , he became 97 years old can you imagine that? i'm his grand-son and i'm taking over this account for now... he told me some incredible stuff about the ship, the accident and the people he met there , and i remember when he saw james cameron's version of titanic (1997) he said that the movie was great , but like rose said in the movie , '' the self-experience was different '' but can you imagine
megumiovvo: "Let me tell you about this woman. I saw her walking down the stairs and away from the convention center on Sunday at Anime Expo. For those of you who do not know, she’s cosplaying as Sophie from Howl’s Moving Castle. I asked to take her picture and she happily complied. After, she told us that it’s hard to her to find cosplays because she’s in her eighties. This woman is over 80 years old and she’s cosplaying, going to
Free Kindle Book For A Limited Time : Belted - Chastity had the childhood most people dream about--in nightmares. After years of abuse by her father, one day he injures himself on a power saw, and Chastity watches as he bleeds to death. She refuses to help. Done! I've had 2. One was a girl my age and one was a woman who I'd met through my family who liked to hear about my life. It was nice to have a friend in another place. I'd known both of them first before I started writing, but hardly saw them again - even though the letters lasted for years. I think these letters are how I became a writer.
Cheese dip!!! I've been looking for this for years! For some reason the only Mexican places I've been to that make this are in MS! I'm pretty sure it's not authentic considering it uses American cheese but I don't care! Taste just like in the restaurants!.
I've been using the sonic e series toothbrush for many years now and I love it. The only complaint I had was the cost of the replacement
Products I Lovey
Love Pam and Jim - Four years ago, I was just a guy who had a crush on a girl, who had a boyfriend. And I had to do the hardest thing that I've ever had to do, which was just to wait and, a lot of people told me I was crazy to wait this long for a date with a girl I work with but I think, even then I knew that I was waiting for my wife. -Jim Halpert
"But then he told me "No, open it up." ...On the first page I see a short paragraph written by none other than my kindergarten teacher. I start tearing up but I'm still confused. Ombre bob. I've had ombre here and there for about 3 years now...the real challenge is letting my natural hair be the grown out part. It's just so...dirty blonde :/. I prefer this look with a colored, darker root.
"Quotes that prove YA novels are for everyone" My only complaint about this post: The Hunger Games quote is from the movie, not the book. :(

Hidemasa and Michiko Otaki are in their old air dresser shop in Tomioka, a town hit hard by the tsunami and evacuated following the nuclear accident. She practiced this profession for 40 years. “I had just finished a cut when the earthquake took place. After the accident, we moved from shelter to shelter, I started cutting hair for the other refugees. One day, I was talking with another refugee, and she told me that a house was free 40 km south of the plant. This is where I have lived for over 2 years now.
Graduation gift to a daughter from her dad,13 years in the making: "Oh the Places You'll Go," by Doctor Seuss. I've been using these word wall cards for roots and affixes in my classroom for years. It started a few school years ago, when I made cards for roots that my students encountered in my literacy and drawing classes. Over the years, I've added cards for science, math, and social studies teachers, too. This summer I had a chance to add even more, reorganize and color code them. There are over 240 cards in the set, covering all the common Greek, Latin and Anglo-Saxon prefixes, roots, and suffixes.
Everything You Never Knew You Needed To Know About Bras. PIN THIS NOW AND GO MEASURE YOURSELF! CasaDiMoo says, "For years, I used the (horribly incorrect) store method of bra sizing and had straps that slid, armpit fat, quad boob, etc. Then I stumbled across this method about three years ago, and realized I was a 34HH and not a 38DD. My girls, and back, are thankful!"
I've had to deal with narcissistic people like this my entire life, putting labels & thoughts in peoples heads about me or others, things that are not true to get people to divide or take sides. It's not of God. I have concluded that when they label & slander others, it's because THEY are. Check my comments
