Great for teaching students about geography and putting the unit into prospective for them. I love that it allows the students be creative and individualize the assignment. This could be really good to use after you have just discussed various features of North America and you want to put it into prospective for the student. by Speedbd

Smash up some fall leaves into tiny pieces. If the leaves are soft, throw them in the microwave for a minute or so to make them crunchy. Get black paint that comes with a brush. Paint lines on a piece of paper, sort of in the shape of a tree. Use a straw to blow on the paint and create branches. Put glue on the tree after the paint dries. When my high school students ask a question no one in the class knows (including myself), they can put it up on the Google Board. Students can bring back a written answer to one of the questions of their choice each week for extra credit, or whatever incentive you choose. They get really excited when a question comes up that they can put on the board and find out the answer to later...this is a GREAT idea! by ofelia
