Oh how I love these! Pogacsa are little Hungarian cheesy biscuits that, if made correctly, are so buttery they will melt in your mouth! My grandma's are amazing, but she is the type of cook who does a "pinch of this and that" and I need a very specific recipe because I am not a good cook. by katie

The past few days have been extremely overwhelming for me. As a budding entrepreneur it seems I have a never ending to-do list. I have found recently that my OWN self care has been slipping. And that makes me feel guilty and out of integrity. Because I teach self care. I preach the benefits of it. I need to remind myself from time to time to listen to my own advice. . Those of us who are super sensitive empaths tend to be very outward focused. We are always scanning our environment feeling into peoples moods and energies. We are also natural born people pleasers. We LOVE to help other. Which is a beautiful thing. But it can become harmful to us when we feel guilty saying no. We feel if we say no to someone or an event or project that we are letting someone down disappointing them or worse- making them angry. We often feel that their reaction is our responsibility. And so we put ourselves last time and time again. We say yes over and over until we are completely drained exhausted and resentful. . But no is NOT A BAD WORD. No is a self-loving self-respecting responsible mature and often times kind word. We have to start asking ourselves why we always fall to the end of the line. Why we are so worried about disappointing others- but what about disappointing ourselves? I often ask my clients who are struggling to say no what would you say to a friend in this situation. Because the answer is almost always that the friend should stand up for and care for her energetic needs. So then why is it that YOU do not deserve the same is my next question. . You deserve to say no. You deserve to stand up and to take care of you. You are important and needed in this world. But if you dont give yourself the love you so freely give to others you will be stuck in a cycle of overwhelm turmoil and exhaustion. . Join me on January 26th for a potent conversation on how to care for yourself as a sensitive soul in this world. This powerful workshop is FREE and will ignite you on your path to re-connecting to the beautiful truth of who you are and to working on setting boundaries and practicing the magical word no. . "Mine Jam" New Spirit, designed by Lukas Karasek #design #typography This is an awesome design, assumingly for a sports shoe (but this seems to be in Czech, so I can't read the other text). The wood texture, the way the lace lettering really stands out, and the red on red—it all really works. Very cool! by rosario

This is an amazingly wonderful painting. The original site has no link to where it came from, but it's on a page with a song that just makes it so much more powerful. I dunno, just a perfect choice. Click through, you'll see. And now I want to go rescue a million kitties for some reason... by bleu.

#travelcolorfully “we wanted to evoke that bygone era when air travel was a bit more glamorous than it is today. but the really great thing about this picture was that it was taken on a set that was originally built for the hilarious [1980] movie airplane! we had a lot of fun while we were shooting, trying to remember lines from the film—like ‘i am serious…and don’t call me shirley’—so it was a very charming day. some photographers feel that they get better pictures if they’re being forceful, but i find i take my best pictures when people are having a good time. ” —chris craymer by kenya

Braids and buns are two hairstyles that, on their own, will probably never go out of style. Both are easy, classic, and act as lifesavers on the days your hair is dirty or messy, but you still need to look put together. So, really, combining the two seems like a no-brainer. Even better, Pinterest’s Top 100 List confirms that braided buns are super *trendy* for 2017, so you’re not only getting your hair out of your face in the cutest way possible, but you’re also looking v. cool at the same time. by oldrose

“There's this youth culture […] it really discards people once they reach a certain age. I actually think that people are so powerful and interesting — women, especially — when they reach my age. We've got so much to say, but popular culture is so reductive that we just talk about whether we've got wrinkles, or whether we've put on weight or lost weight, or whether we’ve changed our hairstyle. I just find that so shallow." — Annie Lennox, turning 60 by rosanna

Dear friends. So so sorry, but I succumbed. The funny thing is, I saw this comic maybe a year ago and thought, "Oh puh-leaze. That's ridiculous. And that cartoon dude looks goofy." Few things are as boring as cleaning the oven. And since we use it on a daily basis it´s no wonder it quickly gets dirty. But now I have found this method that is so simple it almost feels like the oven is cleaning it self! Another advantage is that you don´t have to use any chemicals! by patti

Easy homemade version of Hidden Valley ranch dressing mix. Can be used to make salad dressing or dip. I have been making a lot of my own homemade mixes, so I decided to try making ranch dressing mix. It turns out it is really easy, and very good too. You can find many recipes for ranch dressing, but this recipe that includes dry buttermilk powder seems to come closest to the original Hidden Valley Ranch. by jami

FRIDAY AFTERNOONS:This term, my weekly supervisions are on a Friday at 1pm. This means that my week revolves around one hour (or usually two) of intense one-on-one contact time with my supervisor. After a supervision my brain always hurts so much, and I usually feel mentally drained but also weirdly energetic (?). I usually go to the gym straight after supervisions to release energy, but I’ve also found that the time following a supervision is great for organising the week to come. I had a brand new Moleskine delivered today (yay!), so I spent time drawing out a timetable for next week & I’m gradually filling it in. My week may seem quite empty at the moment, but I usually fill each day in as I go through the week, informed with an overall view of what I need to get done by the end of the week. It may seem unorganised to do this, but my degree is quite self-motivated with hardly any contact time or relevant lectures, so organising my days as I go along works for me. Also: some things here happen very last minute, and I wouldn’t like to tightly pack my schedule early on in the week only to have to change it later. I’m a bit of a perfectionist and would hate to scribble stuff out. But I can tell you something: most of that week from 8am-9pm will be filled in with red: WORK TIME. Thank goodness I love my degree. -Sarah by lindsay0

i’ve always been an optimistic person so i thought this was fitting! it’s just a little reminder for the days that seem to be going downhill, when i get overwhelmed or frustrated or whatever, i just look down and remember to smile and it seems like it all goes away :) cause there are much worse things than having a bad day! when other people see it, 97% of the time, the reaction is positive and that they love it and think its awesome. so i feel like they’re getting a little bit by jaime

When I saw the beautiful tan color that my coworker has, I felt jealous of her. I really need to control my ego to don’t feel that way. It’s only a ridiculous tan color and who needs it anyways? Ok, well a little brown or bronze tone on my legs, arms and shoulders would look wonderful. Maybe with a little more color on my face then I would not need to use tons of make-up to cover up my pale tone. So, that’s how I started using this body serum to tan with. It was just pure jealousy! by carol.hasky

i really enjoy this table of contents because of the layout. it appears so simple but there are meny design factors that you have to consider while making this operational. the slight text shift on the content part adds motion to the typography while the images suggest that there is a photographic element to the magazine. by rachael
