I painted my old kitchen table with general finishes gel stain brown mahogany and homemade chalk paint legs. It came out pretty good considering in was my first time painting a large piece of furniture. Lightly sand the furniture before and after each coat. I sealed it all with a top coat of polyurethane I did about 4-5 coats on the top since it will be used more often and two coats on the legs. by vicki

Multiplex imaging of apoptosis. U2OS cells were treated with 30 μM etoposide for 18 hr to induce apoptosis. The treated cells were stained first with 7.5 μM CellEvent Caspase-3/7 Green detection reagent (green fluorescence, C10423) to detect apoptosis and Hoechst 33342 nucleic acid stain (blue fluorescence, H3570) to label nuclei, and then with 150 nM MitoTracker Deep Red FM (pink fluorescence, M22426) to label mitochondria. Here is a close up of the Duck Egg Blue wash over French Linen on the case of the buffet. After I painted with FL I waxed and then used a heavily diluted mixture of DEB and water, painted on to let it sit in areas I wanted to highlight and then wiped it off in some areas. The drawer fronts were done with a different method. I based coated with FL and then used FL, DEB and Old White, all three colours at the same time to randomly load my12095084_761980123929208_5907418543084277544_o.jpg (636×960) by elinor

This table is handmade with old damaged books. The table is pine on top and bottom, stained and then sealed with polyurethane. The color scheme here is neutrals, blues, reds, greens, and tans. They books used for this table are vintage books from the 1920's-1970's. The top is a circular shape with the edges covered with book spines for a great look. Since this is a handmade table, the circle is not a true 100% circle, it's more of a 99% circle lol! by tonya

Make sure you get the paint into all the openings. Do not move mat until it is completely dry or it will smear. Make your own Shrinky Dinks! Use disposable plastic party cups and Sharpie Markers. Just be sure the cups are marked with the #6 in the recycle triangle on the bottom; this is the same type of plastic that Shrinky Dinks use. Bake at 350 on a protected cookie sheet til they melt then flatten (check in about 30 second increments) by julekinz
