I loved my Nintendo DS. While mine was also pink, it certainly didn't look this cute, but I used to play it quite a bit when I was in high school. It was a fun way for me to wind down and relax, and I had a lot of games that required brainpower, so I was learning at the same time. by kaye

Lammas & corn: It was believed that the spirit of corn had to be preserved from one harvest to the next to ensure successful crops. When it came to cutting the very last sheaf, the harvester would do so with reverence, as this last one carried the spirit, and this is the one that was carefully woven into a corn dolly. This would be kept in a place of honour, till Imbolc rolled around and the grain would be planted with the rest of the crop to bring them to life once again. by hunterjuly

Gallium is a silvery metal with atomic number 31. It’s used in semiconductors and LEDs, but the cool thing about it is its melting point, which is only about 85 degrees Fahrenheit. If you hold a solid gallium crystal in your hand, your body heat will cause it to slowly melt into a silvery metallic puddle. Pour it into a dish, and it freezes back into a solid.
While you probably shouldn’t lick your fingers after playing with it, gallium isn’t by LiveLoveLaughMyLife

I said this was on it's way back. This summer the pegged roll is the easiest way to make slim, straight cuts look extra chic. Janine Chilton-Faust of Levi’s reminds you how to do it. Step 1: Grasp a bottom hem and fold it vertically so there’s a ½-inch tuck in front. Step 2: Hold the tuck in place while you roll up the hem by about two inches twice. Repeat with the other leg. by ginger

A 21-week-old unborn baby named Samuel Alexander Armas was operated on in his mother’s womb by surgeon Joseph Bruner. As Dr. Bruner completed the surgery on Samuel, the little guy reached his tiny, but fully developed hand through the incision and firmly grasped the surgeon’s finger as if thanking the doctor for the gift of life. Dr. Bruner said when his finger was grasped, it was the most emotional moment of his life, and for an instant during the procedure he was just frozen, totally immobile. The baby was diagnosed with spina bifida and would not survive if removed from his mother’s womb. Little Samuel’s mother, Julie Armas, is an obstetrics nurse in Atlanta. She knew of Dr. Bruner’s remarkable surgical procedure. Practicing at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville, he performs these special operations while the baby is still in the womb. During the procedure, the doctor removes the uterus via C-section and makes a small incision to operate on the baby. Little Samuel’s mother said they “wept for days” when they saw the picture. She said, “The photo reminds us pregnancy isn’t about disability or an illness, it’s about a little person” Samuel was born in perfect health, the operation 100% successful.
