New way to do a sock bun! 1.) Place your hair into a high ponytail 2.) Cut the end of a sock so that you can place out ponytail through it (the bigger the sock, the fuller your bun will be) 3.) Fan your hair out, making sure the sock is covered all around, then put a hair tie over it 4.) Take the remaining hair and split it in half 5.) Braid each side and wrap around base of bun. by FriedaGap

An easy way to keep track of student conferences! Just tape index cards to a file folder - boys on one side, girls on the other. You can easily flip through and write anecdotal notes and the date you met with your students. It is a great reference for report cards and parent meetings. by carlani

In the mountains, it's hard to find anything vaguely resembling a beach. Most river and lake banks are simply too steep and too rocky. One exception is the so-called "finger lakes" area of Fontana Lake where you'll find a small park with picnic tables, public restrooms and a swimming area with rope swing. Since there are no life guards, you naturally swim at your own risk. The park is on the south side of Highway 28 near Almond Boat Park. Photo by kari
