Those packages of pre-sliced apples you can buy at store are great for a healthy snack on the go but the price can add up. Make your own by slicing apples, soak in cold water for 3-5 minutes, then soak in a lemon-lime carbonated soda (such as 7-up or sprite) for 3-5 minutes. Divide into snack size portions and store in Ziploc bags in the fridge. The lemon-lime soda will keep the apples from browning and make them last longer. LOVE THIS IDEA! by elba

Clean Pot / Pan Bottoms - Have stains on your pots and pans bottom? Sprinkle on some baking soda, then peroxide. Let the soda absorb the peroxide for maybe 10 min. Then spray on white vinegar. Let it soak for about an hour. Then scrub with a non-abrasive scouring pad. You really don't have to spend much time or elbow grease scrubbing! loved and pinned by www.omved.com by mildred

Smoked Trout-and-Horseradish Spread: Tart green apples and crisp celery make for a surprisingly delicious pairing with Smoked Trout-and-Horseradish Spread. Party Tip: Keep sliced apples or pears from browing by tossing them with lemon-lime soda. It works just like lemon juice but without the sour taste. The citric acid in the soda will keep the fruit looking fresh [recipes on another pin] by Phalaina

Crayon hot rocks: If you have not done this yet, you need to. Simply warm up the rocks in the oven (I did 220 for 10 minutes), then put them on a stack of newspapers (or something else you don't care if it gets crayon in it) and let the little ones go to town. Just remind them it is hot. I have done it with 2 1/2 year olds with no problem. My little lady often brings in rocks for me to "cook" so she can paint them by jimmie

Had this in pre-k and still remember it! "Mr. Frog Float". Just Ginger-ale or Sprite with a scoop of lime sherbet. This is great for kids, but take away the marshmallow eyes and candy tounge, and add a bit of pineapple juice and lime slices and you have a delicious Lime Sherbet Punch. by mayra
